What's the biggest drop-off/point differential by a single player from one game to the another in NBA history?

Anthony Davis has to be in the discussion, the guy goes from scoring 59 to dropping just 9 points on the Wizards. I didn't even watch the game but he played 37 minutes. 50 point drop, yikes.

He did however haul in another 20 rebounds which is nice to see.

How much did Terrence Ross score the game after his 51 against the clippers?

Kobe fell from 81 to 30 (against the Warriors incidentally).

-51 points

David Robinson went from 71 to 25

Anthony Davis is probably the worst though, 9 points is terrible

Who cares though, as if that takes anything away from his 59 point game.

Wasn't his game 48? Or was it 48 in the second half? Can't remember

That's a pretty big one for the playoffs.

Since Davis scored only 9 though, now I'm wondering how many players have scored 50+ and then followed it up with a single digit scoring output. I'm gonna guess Tony Delk is on that list, but who knows I could be wrong.

I was looking for the David Thompson drop-off and he scored 73 in the last regular season game. :biggums:

Didn't realize he was only 23. Youngest best scoring performance ever?

He put up a healthy 10 points on 3-9 shooting.

Playoff drop-off?

Jordan went from 63 to 19

Against maybe the GOAT team ever. And he shot 8 of 18 and added 10 rebounds and 9 assists. And prior to that, he dropped 49 and 63. That's where the MJ is God talk from Bird came from because Boston couldn't stop him. In a vacuum, 19/10/9 is a solid game. MJ averaged 43.7 ppg in that series.

I was just playing the numbers game. Unless Elgin dropped off similarly from his 61 point game in the finals, Jordan probably owns the playoff "record". Not that it matters. It's just an interesting factoid.

Just looked it up. He had 53 and followed it up with a 4 point game on 2-11 shooting.

Davis has him beat by a point. Kudos to Lillard for not falling off after a big game

just goes to show it was a fluke, just like terrence ross or andre miller scoring 50 pts and then fade into obscurity
