with the possiblilty of him facing Lillard and Westbrook in the playoffs is it a concern?

Nope. He's not as bad of a defender as a lot of you think he is :facepalm

He has trouble staying in front of quick guards but he's by no means a defensive liability. As a matter of fact, he's a better overall defender than both Lillard and Westbrook.

Klay will guard him like he always does. Klay does it all

He should be all defensive team this year. One of the best defenders at his position.

One game doesn't mean shit.

This is just a flat out dumb post.

Not a single intelligent sentence.

 I guess Westbrook and the other PG's don't play defense when Curry drops 30 on them, right?

Curry does a better job defending other elite PG's than they do defending him.

Curry only plays one end of the court.

That's why the Warriors would be better with MJ replacing Curry - equal or better offense, far superior defense

He isn't a defensive liability. There a few stats that back up, starting from the plus/minus states to dFG% stats of the ppl he guards. His dFG% is -3.7. The average he guards has the FG% of 43.2. So, he normally keeps them at 39.5 currently. Check the stats here:
http://stats.nba.com/league/player/defense/#!/

Granted, his team got some awesome defenders. Great rim protectors too, so it'll add to his defensive stats. But no stat shows he is a defensive liability.

Eye test is subjective, but from what I see, he ain't bad. He ain't no James Harden. Far from it.

Curry might get in the all defensive team this year. What is his competition in his position? Westbrook (not good this year), CP3? Patrick Beverly? I can't think of anyone else atm.

He's a good overall defender.

LeBron can't stay in front of quicker guards too, but somehow someway he's hailed as a great defender. Even though he's shit

He's definitely better than Kobe defensively. And passes Kobe on the all time list this June.

He's not a liability on defense. He's a "smart" defender.

By smart, he knows his limitations and plays his man toward the post man.

Steph won't be guarding the Westbrook's of the world in the playoffs anyway.... Physically they can overwhelm him but also if he has to chase them that will affect his offense.

Ultimately if they face OKC, I believe you see more Livingston who has the size to make posting him up harder than Curry.

Golden State might be the most versatile team ever. They've got pieces like Livingston, Iggy, and Green who can cover various positions and hold their own.

2nd in defensive win shares for his position. 15th overall in the league. 2nd on the GSW team only to Draymond who is in the running for DPOY.

2nd in steals. 3rd in defensive rebounds per game behind Rondo and Westbrook.

Dude is a good defender, and deserves an all defensive team spot.
