Bruh, there was never a Dirk Era, unless you mean exclusively the Mavs. 1 title does not equal an era. And the correct answer would be he's the best since the LeBron era, which was literally just 2-3 years ago

Actually , 2005-2007 Mavs and 05-07 Suns changed culture of the nba . Run n gun , small ball ; all high tempo-pace stuffs coming from them .

So , we can say 05-07 Era was Nash-Dirk era .

Wait. You really think high paced run-and-gun basketball was started in the mid '00's? Do you not remember the Showtime Lakers? :facepalm

Small ball? The best example would be the '96 Bulls.

Arguably 6-7 straight years as the best player in the world. 8 Straight 50+ win teams ('12 Heat were on pace to win 50+). 5 straight NBA Finals and quite possibly 6 straight including this season with a 2peat. 4 MVP's in 5 seasons.

Nba slowed down with late 80's . And mid 90's to around 2013/2014 had lowest pace of history ( beside of before 24 second ) .

And yes Mavs and Suns changed the nba culture about playing style(pace, smallball etc . ) .

96 Bulls had great smallball system and that's why they mentions as greatest team . But they weren't playing high pace or run n gun . Mavs and Suns did and after Spurs and then Warriors ..

The NBA did slow down, but teams were still pretty much playing at the same pace as the run-and-gun Suns.

You were implying that the mid '00's Suns and Mavs were the pioneers of the high paced offense, which is just not true.

The ABA was the run and gun Suns on crack. The '60's consistently saw teams with pace upwards of 115. 20 more than the Suns from '05-'06. The '87 Lakers and '86 Celtics was playing at a pacer of 101. Heck, the '89 and '90 Lakers player at 100 and 97. The '91 Lakers were at 94 and the '91 Bulls were at 96. Pretty much the same pace as the Suns and Mavs.

5 straight NBA Finals

To be fair. Exchange OKC, GSW, LA Clippers, probably even Houston with Miami / Cleveland in the East and they would also make 5 straight finals. The biggest threat are the Celtics, do I need to say more? Toronto can't be taken serious, Bulls are injured as always, Miami is highly overrated. No competition there :confusedshrug:

You can't just displace team. The WC has majority of the All-NBA and All-Def team members. You can be certain, that LeBron would at the least have a team as good as the Mavericks. Not to mention he barely had injury-free teammates during his runs. '11 was the only season when his team was fully healthy. The Warriors, Thunder, Clippers, etc. are all stacked AF.

'05 Average Pace - 90.9
'06 Average Pace - 90.5

From '07-'13 the average pace was ~92. 1.5 possessions more than '05 and '06. The Mavs and Suns didn't change shit. The NBA changed the rules, you ****ing moron.

Again, this doesn't have anything to do with what you said earlier, which was:

And yes Mavs and Suns changed the nba culture about playing style(pace, smallball etc . ) .

Nope. Small ball and run-and-gun style teams have been there since way before. It was the Showtime Lakers who actually changed the NBA and brought it back with their run-and-gun offense.

Nba slowed down with late 80's . And mid 90's to around 2013/2014 had lowest pace of history ( beside of before 24 second ) .
Again, the NBA did slow down from the ultra his pace of the wack ass '60's, but they still played at a very high pace. Mid '90's had the lowest pace in NBA history? :facepalm

'94 Average Pace - 95.1
'95 Average Pace - 92.9
'96 Average Pace - 91.8

That's pretty much the same pace as the average NBA team from '06 or '07.

'13 Average Pace - 92.0
'14 Average Pace - 93.9
'15 Average Pace - 93.9

The early '00's had the lowest pace in NBA history and the NBA wanted a more uptempo style ball. Even then, the average NBA teams pace was about 90-91. Only 3-4 points lower than today's teams. They changed the rules to increase pace. As I said, it wasn't the Mavs or the Suns who "reinvented" the NBA.

Now go sit in the corner with your dunce cap on, retard.
