We've both come out with vastly different worldviews based on our educations, life experiences, etc. Your worldview seems to be cemented in stone, and will not change regardless of what evidence, facts, etc. I present. I could quite literally go page after page back and forth with you where you write paragraph after paragraph to back up your claims, and I do the same. At the end of the day, because you're so locked in, nothing will penetrate. Example: If you really believe that all of the intelligent black people, presuming you think black people are capable of being intelligent (doctors, lawyers, professionals, teachers, finance people, etc.) overwhelmingly vote Democrat solely because they want "handouts" and want to "blame the evil white man", then there is little to nothing I can discuss with you because you've made your mind up that that's how you're going to see any challenge to your worldview - a neatly packaged label for black people who disagree with it. Here's the thing about people such as yourself. We've both come out with vastly different worldviews based on our educations, life experiences, etc. Your worldview seems to be cemented in stone, and will not change regardless of what evidence, facts, etc. I present. I could quite literally go page after page back and forth with you where you write paragraph after paragraph to back up your claims, and I do the same. At the end of the day, because you're so locked in, nothing will penetrate. Example: If you really believe that all of the intelligent black people, presuming you think black people are capable of being intelligent (doctors, lawyers, professionals, teachers, finance people, etc.) overwhelmingly vote Democrat solely because they want "handouts" and want to "blame the evil white man", then there is little to nothing I can discuss with you because you've made your mind up that that's how you're going to see any challenge to your worldview - a neatly packaged label for black people who disagree with it. Black people that even mention racism (regardless of how salient their arguments many be, or whatever facts they provide) = blaming the evil white man. They are sheep who vote Democrat because they lack the intellect to see that it's REALLY the Republicans who would have their best interest at heart.

You really couldn't be more wrong. My views have changed significantly in just the time i've been posting on Insidehoops. I used to consider myself a radical of sorts, and now i see myself as more of a conservative traditionalist, in the tradition of Kirk, Santayana, Burke, Eliot, Tocqueville, Randolph, Hume et al. Look how pissed that presenter looked at a black guy defending Trump. Props to whoever aired that; it obviously wasn't approved by the MSNBC higher ups. The media makes its living off stirring up divisiveness, and this kind of coverage is truly disgraceful and exposes their obvious agenda.

Dresta, nothing you wrote dispels my initial point, which is that we have vastly different worldviews that can't be bridged by intellectual discourse because, in my opinion, you refuse to let go of things which I feel are quite honestly obvious in preference of holding on to that view. I already pointed out the example of your thinking that blacks vote Democratic because they want "handouts" and "freebies" (classic conservative stigmatization) as opposed to the fact that they feel overwhelmingly that the Republican party is downright hostile towards them, and does not have their best interest at heart. I have never personally known ONE black person that wants "freebies" and "handouts". I have known many black people (like everyone else) that wants an equal, just society where they have economic opportunities that will sustain themselves, and their families.

My view of the world is pretty simple. We should always be striving for a society that is as equitable as possible for it's people, which promotes a stable environment where the maximum amount of people are able to lead content and productive lives. What we currently have in the US, despite it being the richest country in the world, is an oligarchy populated by increasingly angry, marginalized and economically challenged people - both black and white.

I could see the rise of someone like Trump years and years ago. It really wasn't that hard to predict and dovetails with the report (that you poo poo as being unrelated) regarding white male life expectancies.
