Ever since 2014 I have been hoping this
That's kinda disrespectful to Toronto though who clearly are the 2nd best team in the east.

That is much more likely, but the much richer storyline lies in Cavs vs. Heat

LMAO Miami are nowhere near good enough..
Just like The Cavs are nowhere good enough for the title.
People really overrate Miami
Cheers

Have two high profile former teammates ever met in the playoffs?

Would be amazing, but doubt it happens.

I don't think anyone overrates Miami, especially without Bosh. They have a well documented void at 3 point shooting and their lone all-star is 34 years old. They are a good but not great team, which I think most people acknowledge. They are obviously not legit title contenders nor do see anyone calling them contenders.

Most recent one I can think of is Allen of the Heat vs Garnett & Pierce of the Nets.
Although at that point, none of them were high profile, but they were high profiles during their peak. You probably meant currently.

Nash & Dirk in 2005 and 2006.
Nash was a monster in that '05 series 30/7/12 shooting 55%

No, they have the 2nd best record in the east.
We'll see if they do their normal playoff implosion.
I have Cavs, Boston and Heat in that order for the playoffs.

I think he meant as the 3 best teams in the playoffs, not necessarily the seed order.

Darrrnnn this East is weaker than ever before. Half of the bulls starters are injured, Toronto plays OK but isn't a good team, Heat is overrated, Wizards are OK at best, Fkn Celtics are third

if Miami did play the warriors in the finals.
it would be some serious completion for warriors
heat lost to the warriors twice, but those games were close
ii think bosh wade whiteside could make it a seven game series!

Without the choking beta that went to Cleveland, Miami can finally show its true power

It would be amazing but I highly doubt the series is even close. Cleveland is just way too stacked.

i dont get how miami will get so much better with johnson while bosh will probably fall out for the remainder of the season.....
basically it all depends on wade. if wade can stay healthy and produce like 24/6/5 in high FG% the heat can make some noise...will be very difficult against the raptors tough....not to mention the cavs

Not that it matters much since the East isn't conquering Golden State, but I think some team that isn't Lebron James-led getting past Cleveland would be fun. Not hating on Cleveland here and I almost feel bad saying it since Cleveland has suffered for so long, but I'm just speaking as a basketball fan here. Need some variety.
