People like to bash Duncan for playing with the GOAT coach, but he was at least winning national championships left and right before joining the NBA

What did Steph do before Kerr?

A guy who had to play in a 90s offenses that modern high school defenses could sniff out and beat?

Kerr's coaching isn't what makes Steph's 35ft shots go in.

Steve Kerr will end up as a top 5 GOAT coach.

1. Phil Jackson
2. Red Auerbach
3. Gregg Popovich
4. Pat Riley
5. Steve Kerr

Nothing.........dude was barely making allstar game one season and missed out another from his own teammate David Lee:lol :lol

his claim to fame and what his fans kept splurging on was the Spurs series GS "almost" won where he averaged 22/7/3 on 50TS:roll:

he had a pretty good series against Denver but the team wasnt the same after Gallo went down. Healthy Gallo and Denver wins that series easy

then GS lost in 1st round to an emotionally crippled Clips team from the Sterling fiasco

Kerr MADE Steph. Ron Adams defensive scheme/teammates HIDES Stephs weaknesses

So because Steph wasn't winning championships right off the bat it must be Kerr? Again, Kerr's coaching is not what made Curry capable of drilling 35+ feet shots. Curry is making Kerr's job easy too. They compliment each other, but that doesn't mean Curry wouldn't have become great anyway.

He wouldn't be able to spell defense without him (he still can't spell btw). He made him into the GOAT defender. Otherwise he'd be a homeless man's Wilt on offense and nothing but a great rebounder and outlet passer.

nikka gtfo. Steph had a breakout year in 2012. That was the first time he broke the record for most threes in a season. that was the same year he missed the all star game too, and that playoff series curry was injured too brah :coleman:

Let's see..

Before Kerr he was an all star, an all nba team player, set the all time nba record for 3pters made in a season and sent your team packing in the playoffs..

He won a title as player/coach without Red:lol :lol

He won two titles with the same HOF-stacked rosters that Red assembled.

How about his coaching record AFTER his Celtic career...

179-207 and 6-9 in the playoffs.

Curry dropped 54 three years ago under Jackson's watch.

I don't think Jackson gets enough credit for grooming these guys before Kerr shows up with some of the players just starting into their prime.

Oh I don't know, one of the best PG's in the league.

Curry has been great since his rookie season. Not his fault you weren't paying attention.

And lol at bringing up Duncan's college career, as if Curry didn't have an amazing college career. Nobody knew what the **** Davidson was before Curry.

Not really. Curry wasn't leading the league in scoring. Nor was he so feared defensively that teams didn't want to run plays on his side of the court. He's never going to average 30/8/8 with great defense either. But scoring wise Curry is great once he stepped into his prime.

Time to be super honest

What western teams did not beat the George Karl Nuggets in the first round? And Gallo was obviously the teams MVP, wonder how the series would have gone with no Gallo and no Curry

Not exactly something to write home to mum about

And this was meant to troll a few people, but one point stands... People like to shit on Duncan because of Pop and MJ because of PJax.. What was Curry before Kerr?
