It is correlation, not causation. Cold lowers our immune systems. If a large percentage of the population has lowered immune systems, viruses can spread easier.

Actually peak season for cold/flu/virus infections is in the autumn/spring time. Cold by itself doesnt make us sick.

Yeah, I think the cold would be considered a considerable stress on the body.

It's a common misconception that stupid people have. Just like stupid people think your fat "eats" your muscle when you gain weight and your muscles "eat" your fat when you lose weight.
