Thats fairly obvious even if you arent supposed to say it. If the top players in any sport had a team full of guys as good as they were they would all have the best teams in their sports. Im not sure why he feels the need to say so. Its hard to dispute but it makes you sound like a dick.

God fearing athletes like Cristiano have been blessed. It ain't easy to be one of the best 2-3 players of all time. Genetically, he was blessed. And saying the truth (even though it might be arrogant) is just that....the truth.
Kobe Bryant gets the same outrage when he say the same. This is the world wr live in. We expect athletes to display false modesty rather than look for truth.
