I just booked an epic trip for me and 4 boys. Gonna land in San Fran on Thursday, got courtside seats for OKC and Golden State.

Wanna hit up a sick sushi place and go out Thursday night and then chill out on Friday and Saturday morning in Cali, then drive down to Vegas Saturday just in time for the UFC fight at the MGM. Gonna party like animals Saturday night, and hit the Vegas ranch to try and recreate our very own lAmar Odom moment sunday. Monday Gonna chill by the pool and gamble to recover and wash away the pornstar filth off us.

Anyways, any suggestions for things to do on Thursday night, Friday during the day, and Saturday morning in Cali? Wanna add to the epic ness and not waste too much time doing nothing

Been to san fran once, went to this real cool place called Hamlet. They make some of the best drinks I have had. Plus, their food was amazing. I dont know what part you are in, but if you are near this place I suggest you check it out.

Looks pretty good, definitely want to try a sushi spot as well because it's supposed to be so good over there. And was thinking of doing some nice outdoor stuff on Friday to kind of balance the whole trip.

Check out Ike's Place for a lunch spot in San Fran. There's lots of touristy stuff to do during the day in San Fran (i.e. Lombard Street, fisherman's wharf, painted ladies.) you could also go on the other side of the bridge and get some great views of the city and the beach (I'm sure you could bike it if you felt adventorous.)

In LA, I would check out Santa Monica and Venice beach.

Not sure about sushi places tho.

I read fisherman's wharf is a great place to walk around sightseeing and eat some awesome seafood.

Any good national parks maybe for the outdoorsy part?

Fisherman wharf is ok it's just a tourist death trap but worth seeing one time.

Not sure on the parks but I think there are a few parks on the northern side of San Fran. In LA you could also do Griffith Observatory and depending on the smog you can great views of the city and there are some hiking areas I believe.

I would also recommend Lake Tahoe if you have times. Around this time of year people ski but there are some great views but it's about a 3 hour drive from San Fran.

Go to Vegas during EDC. I went by accident last year, it happens during the WSOP, not during the main event though.

Most outragous party scene I've ever encountered in my life. All of Vegas is basically a huge rave, half naked girls walking around everywhere, at every casino. Everyone on X. It's like a rave, only city sized. Crazy crazy stuff.

I had a buddy place in the 60s like 5 years ago, think he won like $130k. Was a big deal.

Summer time is amazing as well. Granted it doesn't get too hot in say August (around late 70s early 80s at most) but the area is stunning nonetheless.

Cali is GOAT state.

You can see him bluffing me here. Later on we get it all in ak vs my 77s to double him up and cripple me. He ended up 11th I believe that hand was huge for me, A on board with 3 clubs I have the 7 of clubs, you can also see it on YouTube somewhere

That is fcking awesome.

Sure you put him on a flush or even A-higher kicker but I'm mad at you folding that :lol

Was your heart thumping away?

Main table with kid poker, i think i would be nervous, although you've been playing days non stop at that point so maybe no more nerves to give...

It's just so rare for him to check raise me with a naked gut shot there, he plays a lot of small ball pots and rarely goes out of line. The turn I always check because I'm in great shape there, and I'm pot controlling always expecting to call all rivers. But he decides to bet 80% of the pot which is pretty sick actually, polarizing his hand to basically missed straight or a set or flush. So I think it's a bit tougher than most people would think. And also my image at the table was pretty nitty so I would think he would give up on his bluffs once I call flop there

Yeah after the check raise on the flop I would have put him on several things before a straight draw. When you called he probably put you on close to what you actually had.

I don't blame you for folding... Watching it though it's like "just call, come on man!"

Rough :(

When he checked on the turn I would have went hard at him...but then again on the big stage I probably would have played it safe as well. Couple hundred is the most I've bought in with, so I can't speak to high stakes like this.

You don't want to go hard because you're making him fold all the hands that you dominate, all his lower spades that he can call a value bet if it falls. He's never calling turn with worse which is why you should pretty much always check there

River I should most likely call there but it's his sIzing that threw me off. He played it well...I spoke to a lot of great players about the hand right after it happened and they told me they would lay it down. Obviously on TV it looks different with cards face up

Been to the Bay Area multiple times. Cousins grew up near Oakland in a rough part of town in the late 90s (a lot of stickups/robberies happened where they grew up). Place was too wild to really go out at night as kids to hang out with our older cousins. Went out back then for my cousins birthday party who was a teen at the time.

Went back when I was in my teens and in my 20s, way more fun. Nappa is fun, San Jose has a great nightlife, San Fran is cool too. A lot of good food places around there. Cousins now live in a nice area outside of San Fran. I've seen some huge Bay Area mansions too. Most of the cities are chill and safe. Oakland and Stockton (the only two cities that are still reasonably dangerous, San Jose used to be rough back in the day but I've heard it's gotten much safer now and only has a few sketchy areas in terms of nightlife) are way better now then what they were in the 1990s when I visited. It's arguably the only place I could see myself settle in outside of the Northeast.

That's a great idea, been reading that it's an amazing drive from San fran to vegas through yosemite and Death Valley but we would only have Friday and early Saturday so not sure if that's long enough to make it worth the huge detour and drive. What do you think? Also if you only have one night to stop between the two cities, where should you stay?

It's a very scenic drive. If you only have time for one park, I'd visit Yosemite. The sheer beauty of it is ridiculous. I have some gopro footage of both parks and some of the drive up there so when I get home I'll try to upload it.

Btw, both parks has many visitors, in particular a lot of hot asians.

Cool, thanks. Maybe I'll go visit when the Bulls are relevant again.

How are the roads highwey? Is it gonna be tough for me to get there with a rental suv? Heard you need chains

There were signs up that indicated chains were needed but I drove my truck in 2 wheel drive mode throughout the park without any chains. I have the stock "off road tires" which are essentially a regular tire that Toyota and Goodyear tried to pass of as a legitimate off road tire. I witnessed plenty of sedans and suv's make the the trip without any chains. If it makes you feel safer, get an suv with AWD ~ an AWD suv will go through snow without chains with ease. They do a great job of keeping the road clear of the remaining snow.

Just arrived home, I'll upload the gopro video as soon as I can.

I very much recommend the trip.

If you're really that Moga guy, then I'd like to ask if Negreanu is actually impressive in person?

He's one of the top guy in Poker. What does he have that most other pros doesn't?

Lol people have seen dozens of pics of me, don't know why I would fake getting bluffed lol

He's good at table chit chat and as an ambassador for the game. And he's also a very solid player adjusting to these huge field tourneys and balancing his game very well. Besides that, I don't really get rattled by celebrities or anything like that but he definitely benefits from always being on the TV tables. The TVs affected me more than his presence, and he's always on one so he knows how to adjust to take advantage of new comers he doesn't recognize

If Yosemite were to be explained through one video, it would be a less sh1tty video without so much roadnoise but bear with me: https://youtu.be/u4aEUDG_tlI

Having trouble uploading and editing the go pro footage but this video was from my phone. That's tunnel view, basically gives you a look at Yosemite in its full glory.

No I'd say his was worse because it was for huge money on day 5 of the World Series main event on television, and yours was a super turbo tourney structure without any money in play which turns it basically into a bingo tournament.

I've always told you if you wanted we can play heads up, for any amount of money that you can afford

1st of all, you can call it "turbo" maybe but no need to exaggerate and say "super turbo".

2nd of all, Lose once, ok fluke. Lose twice in a row, ok really lucky. Lose 3 times in a row? FOUR times in a row? Sorry at that point it's time to re-think. You're just not that good.

Big bingo tournament huh? I must be the luckiest man alive in the world. I talked so much trash before that tournament, that I was going to win because i am the best on ISH at poker, and I won that tournament. Including a 4-0 sweep of you. No series was close. Yeah bingo tournament all luck all coincidence? 4 rounds 4 opponents all dominated. You believe in Unicorns too?

Congrats on the high finish in the poker tourney bro but you clearly inferior to me in poker don't get ahead of yourself. I am the ISH Poker Champion. I don't just claim this, I earned it.

Lol it was a super turbo on a joke platform. But like I said if you want to make easy money against an inferior player, we can set it up man? What's the issue with making easy money? Are you some sort of communist?

And I did congratulate you on the win, you deserved it. But to keep bringing it up and talkin shit, why don't you put your money where your mouth is?
