Wow, right when Bernie goes on the offense against Goldman Sachs and Hillary's transcripts, CNN cuts into the middle of the speech by saying "We will be back with more of the speech." They never do. They just replay clips of Hillary's already finished speech and Bernie before the transcripts portion. :facepalm

I donated to Bernie's cause and would've voted for him in the general because I think he is the most trustworthy, fundamentally decent and least hawkish candidate - all of the other candidates are dangerous to some degree. I respect the way that he has stood up against the oligarchy but the writing has been on the wall for weeks now. His achilles heel is Hillary's unwavering support from the black community.
When given the option between a bona fide progressive candidate and a status quo machine Democrat blacks chose the latter. Their unequivocal support for Hillary has thwarted an opportunity to effect genuine change in this country.
I'm now on the Trump bandwagon. He is self funded and is doing a lot of damage to the GOP establishment that I loathe, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I would NEVER vote for Hillary because she is a career politician and a dishonest Wall Street shill who cannot inflict even half as much damage on the GOP as Trump.

SC and Super Tuesday are all skewed towards right-leaning states...it's going to be hard for him but if he can keep her delegate lead somewhere between 50-150 AFTER Tuesday he still has a decent shot. Mid-march on most states favor Bernie.
But the DNC will just **** him over with superdelegates in the end so... :confusedshrug:

CNN is showing their true colors. Today they were making a big deal of whether Trump would disavow a KKK endorsement even though no such endorsement exists. What's next? Whether Hillary would disavow an Muslim brotherhood endorsement?

Dirty, dirty tactics. These people (Rubio and his cronies) have no shame. They are using the exact tactics they complain about the media using against them all the time. Talk about hypocritical.
Guy says: "I know nothing about David Duke, i know nothing about White supremacists"
CNN headline: "Trump refuses to disavow KKK and David Duke"
Unreal. This dirty, shameless garbage makes me think Trump has a lot of establishment people rather worried, which can only be a good sign regarding his sincerity. I mean, this is expected from the media and from Democrats, but if Republicans are pulling this shit too, then it really shows who they represent and who they share common aims with, and it isn't the people.

the thing is Trump has just disavowed Duke on Friday (and in August too) so this was clearly a gaffe on his part
they shouldn't have been asking him to do it again though

Trump plainly disavowed David Duke on Thursday on the debate stage. So why are they still asking about David Duke and additionally throwing in some imaginary endorsements?
dude77
02-28-2016, 03:38 PM
trump should have just blown off the question .. doesn't need to be answering any of that nonsense .. everyone rags on him for not having policy and then when you have him for a few minutes to interview you ask him about irrelevant stupidity .. 'I already disavowed that endorsement .. lets move on' should've been his response

He still needs the regular delegates. If he gets more regular delegates by small margin and if superdelegates are the ones that shift the tides, I am telling you right here, the party will split. If that were to happen, Democrats would lose the election. Superdelegates are not stupid enough to do that sort of political suicide.

By the way, I hope you guys are not surprised by CNN. They are becoming the left-leaning version of FoxNews. Just a disgrace.
I saw it first hand yesterday. They played Hillary's entire speech and discussed her for 40 mins. Bernie starts speaking and right when he goes on the offense against corporations and Hillary's transcripts, CNN cuts him off by going to advertisement. They say we will be back with more of the speech. When they returned, they start playing clips of Hillary's speech from hour and half ago and clips of Bernie before the attack on Hillary's transcripts. Then they go back into the discussion between their panel as if Bernie's speech had finished. Bernie was probably still talking but we are taken to their sh!tty panel for opinion BEFORE Bernie's speech is even finished :facepalm

The real question is why is he being asked this question repeatedly? It's an attempt to associate the two in the minds of people who don't think, and vote by instinct. Anyway, the idea he hasn't already denounced these people is a plain lie:
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/271022-trump-stares-down-protester-wearing-kkk-endorses-trump-shirt
Earlier in the day on Friday, Trump brushed off the backing of former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke, who suggested it'd be against Americans' "heritage" to not vote for Trump.
"I didn't even know he endorsed me," Trump said of Duke's support while unveiling an endorsement from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at a press conference earlier in the day.
"David Duke endorsed me? OK, alright. I disavow, OK?" Trump said, as he attempted to move on to another question.
He'd already unequivocally disavowed him, so they keep asking the question, until he says something even slightly ambiguous, so they can run with "Trump refuses to disavow KKK"--these are really dirty tactics, and they should make any semi-intelligent person think twice about trusting anything that comes out of the media. What you don't get is that just asking these questions, even with an unequivocal denunciation, will hurt his standing with some--that's why they do it, again and again, and it's why Trump is trying to give an answer that'll get them to stop asking such plainly biased questions.

Why are they even asking him about the KKK? The KKK hasn't endorsed him. What the hell does the KKK have to do with anything?
They're clearly trying to put it in people's minds that there is some reason that Trump needs to be asked about the KKK.
It's a "how long since you least beat your wife" question.

Funny people are making such a big deal about this libel thing, when that liberal hero Abe Lincoln put prominent politicians in prison just for saying the war had been a failure (before Gettysburg, when this was undeniably true); or even Oliver Wendell Holmes (another liberal hero), who put a bunch of socialists in prison for decades for distributing anti-war pamphlets :lol. They still cite his "fire in a crowded theatre" statement to justify their own abridgements of speech, even though that was used to persecute dissenters.
Where is the consistency?

I agree about Lincoln, but he's often portrayed as something he wasn't. He actually called himself a conservative.
Though i don't think you can plug him in as a 'moderate democrat' either. He was a nationalist, he luurved tariffs, and so on.

Parties have become much more partisan since the days of Lincoln. It is to be expected over time (as many of the founding fathers said it would). Lincoln and even the founding fathers would be ashamed to see Trump/Hillary as most likely candidates. I believe they would have no choice but to side with the left leaning Sanders or libertarian Rand Paul or moderate John Kasich. There is no way most of them would side with Trump/Hillary/Cruz/Rubio/Carson.
The partisan has become ridiculous along with the big money special interests buying the politicians. Possibly worse than ever before. :confusedshrug:

So, in Michigan, there were lots of reports of a lot of democrats opting to vote across party lines for Kasich in an attempt to keep Trump from winning.
I just realized something.
Ohio (coming up next Tuesday and neighboring state to Michigan) is also an open primary state. Gov. Kasich should be poised to take EVEN MORE democratic votes from Clinton in his home state of Ohio.
