Dude was spot on for the most part. The whole #OscarSoWhite thing started because the Queen of Nepotism herself, Jada Pinkett-Smith was peeved because her in the closet husband wasn't nominated for his terribly comically bad Nigerian accent in a movie about concussions.

Creed (not counting Sly, who was jobbed tonight) and Beasts of No Nation had legitimate gripes about being shut out from awards consideration (and Idris Elba won many other awards this season). Both were easily better than Bridge of Spies and Brooklyn. Easily.

Spotlight was tight though. That or Room was a good pick for Best Pic in a weak year.

Dude was spot on for the most part. The whole #OscarSoWhite thing started because the Queen of Nepotism herself, Jada Pinkett-Smith was peeved because her in the closet husband wasn't nominated for his terribly comically bad Nigerian accent in a movie about concussions.

Creed (not counting Sly, who was jobbed tonight) and Beasts of No Nation had legitimate gripes about being shut out from awards consideration (and Idris Elba won many other awards this season). Both were easily better than Bridge of Spies and Brooklyn. Easily.

Spotlight was tight though. That or Room was a good pick for Best Pic in a weak year.

Oscars are bullshit nowadays anyway. SAG awards is where it's at. Mostly because I get to vote and they give me free movies and swag. But still.
Creed was not a better movie than Brooklyn.
