He scores 3pts in 2 minutes in his only game I believe. The guy can score points, the knicks suck give the guy some minutes..:facepalm .

What was the reason the Knicks called him up again? Hoping his mere presence would change the franchise?

You guys know they run scrims outside of games right? It's not like they only play on game nights... im sure if he shows some value he'll earn time.

Curry's brother is in a similar situation. He can play but doesn't get alot of minutes because of lack of athleticism.

Why do people think he was signed as some big piece? The guys a scrub from the d-league, teams weren't banging at his door to sign him. He's been on multiple teams and had multiple coaches and sources talk about how big of a bone head he is and how he can't run an offence. Yet people on ISH act like the knicks signed him as more than a bench guy. If he were lighting it up in practice he'd get more minutes but he has to earn it and show he can play like a real professional.

He can come on and hit some 3s.. You know, offense? Scoring more points than the other team lol, the Knicks are quite bad at it:oldlol:

Teams want guys who come in and play within their teams offence though. Jimmer isn't good enough to demand the ball like he does and **** up their sets like he does. Last time he had consistent minutes he averaged 18% from deep and 38% from the floor.

People act like he's some special player but he's bounced around multiple teams and never does anything special. If he wants to fill a pure shooter role like you suggest he needs to learn to run off screens and be constantly moving like Redick did. But he doesn't want to, all reports say he tells coaches he wants to be the star and won't change his game.

vice sports just released a video about him. I don't doubt the dudes work ethic but i think his stint at BYU gave him a pretty big ego and is probably why he can't adjust to being just a cog in a system.

He gives it all up on the other end.

probably the worst combo of footspeed and explosiveness at the guard position outside of Andre Miller.

Lots of teams have end of bench guys that can't do anything but shoot. Probably for practice scrimmage purposes.

Also, sounds like the dude won't play the spot-up shooter role. Still stuck in his star days.

Jimmer is a quintessential example of the contrast between college and pro. Similarly to Moustache Morrison, some games just don't translate on the big stage. Jimmer has the tools to play the spot up shooter role though. The main tiff is that he can't defend for the life of him. What good is a perimeter specialist who routinely gives up more than he makes?

Actually, NBA teams very rarely practice. It's totally different than European basketball, where the teams practice all the time.

Dude is really talented but legit 5'9.5" without shoes, and defensively gets taken for a rude ride. Maybe if a squad ran 1-3-1
