Leonardo DiCaprio sucks at accents

Just watched Blood Diamond a week ago and now am watching Gangs of New York.

Leondardo Di Caprio's accent is absolute shit in both of these. His SA accent and Irish accent both sound like pantomime parody.

Leo Deezy is a good actor but he is garbage when it comes to accents.

He was using a Rhodesian accent during Blood Diamond which sounds like a comically efforted SA accent, so to be fair, he was much closer than many think, but yeah Gangs of NY was bad.

I like Leonardo DiCaprio and his movies, just noticed how shit his Irish accent was when rewatching Gangs of New York. I don't remember it being that bad.

I think DiCaprio should have won his first Oscar for the Departed.
