Why cant the Miami heat make it to the finals with the addition of joe Johnson?
A healthy Joe Johnson is currently a liability on D and inefficient on O. Neutral at best.

:facepalm
Dumbass OP still continues to talk about basketball. No Bosh, no TJ, no backup PG, etc.. Other than that, LeBron's Cavs. That's why.

Bosh is probably going to retire at the end of the year.

well:
- lack of consistent three point shooting
- subpar playmaking
- wade is old, even bosh is old
- whiteside is an excellent shot blocker but not a great rim protector (positioning woes)
- a short bench on an old team
It's no wonder that the real question (even if healthy!) is "will they make the playoffs" not "will they get to the finals"

grizzlies lacked 3 point shooting and made it all the way to the wcf a few years back.
a lot of teams lack playmaking and are still contenders.....ill name one.....thunder......now of course they have two prime future hall of famers.....but if healthy...bosh and wade with their IQs could give any team a run for their money...wouldn't you agree?
whiteside gets better with each game...is he ready to shine in the playoffs?? I doubt it but he has the talent to dominate a series if he is mentally engaged
bench has been lackluster this year but they have talent...green,winslow,johnson deng/Johnson,amare. Not the best bench but you cant tell me its the worst if each individual plays up to their talent level
Don't write the heat off

Barring multiple injuries they're definitely going to make the playoffs. They're 4th in the east and 4-2 without Bosh (10-5 in their last 15). With the next 4 games being at home against a depleted Bulls, Suns, and then back to back against the Sixers, they have a great chance to strengthen their position.
They obviously need Bosh to be legitimately dangerous in the playoffs, but his absence has forced them to play a more uptempo style, a style they should have been playing all season. JJ isn't some kind of huge addition, but he does add a desperately needed 3 point threat.
