He pretty much get away with tons of foul with todays rule. He only got foul out like once or twice or something like that

However , on the offensive end, without handchecking he struggles outside 5feet imagine with handchecking

He was a DPOY candidate without handchecking. He'd definitely be one with.

Yes, I always laugh when old school idiots fail to think about both sides of the ball and say that Lebron (or even Wade or Kobe...who were both strong physically) would do worse in the 80's.

They don't even think about the other side of the ball. 6'8 250 lb Lebron allowed to hand-check? Damn, he's gonna be a beast defensively.

Lebron and ALL defenders would have a massive advantage by being able to hand-check and make actual CONTACT with the perimeter ballhandler, which is currently not allowed due to today's hand-check ban, thus making shooting and penetrating easier (as intended (http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/04/09/stujackson/index.html) by the NBA).

Lebron lucked out when he guarded MVP Rose - Rose couldn't shoot (he was a 6'3" Lebron), so Lebron laid off a little bit and did well.

Otoh, Magic has a proven sniper (http://hoops-nation.com/community/ips4test/topic/111290-magic-johnson-87-88-finals-shot-chart/) from midrange, so Jordan had to limit Magic's shooting and playmaking while still achieving the GOAT 33/7/11/56 on OFFENSE to secure the Bulls' franchise it's first championship (in it's first try).

MIGHT be one with.

Lebron had ONE series where he was the defender on the other team's best perimeter playmaker - Rose - who is a horrible shooter.

Otherwise, he doesn't even GUARD primary ballhandlers/PG's, like Jordan did on a regular basis - Jordan was the primary defender on Magic, Gary Payton (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meL62CUehuw), Isiah Thomas (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9MfhFFE7fc), Clyde Drexler, John Stockton (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOuMwmXtgd0), Kevin Johnson (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K2rBgOqGCw), Tim Hardaway (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9ouMPqEk-s), Rod Strickland (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3JqY3CECW8), etc., etc.

so you used stats from the 87 and 88 finals to make a point that he in 91 had the same mid range shot?

this isn't proof, this is lying.
