Who is the best fat player in NBA history? A guy that had a big gut, that was just fat but skillful..the GOAT Fat player. I would not call Barkley fat at least during his playing days.

He looks pretty muscular in that picture....Shaq really wasn't FAT when he was on the Lakers, dude was always big and muscular, on the Lakers he still was athletic. Look at his arm size compared to DRob, .

Depending on the definition, Shaq then Barkley.
Btw, I don't remember Hot Rod Williams being fat.

There were 2 guys named John Williams that played at the same time.
One was Hot Rod, the other was Yacht Bod aka Hot Plate.

Damn that's crazy. I was a kid during his career so I'm just familiar with his prime highlights. Cocaine and alcohol man.

He was still good during his brief stint w/ the Cavs.
Dragged us into the playoffs pretty much single handedly.

Dragged us into the playoffs pretty much single handedly. Yeah. I thought he ended up having a good season with the Cavs. But his substance abuse and off court issues got the best of him.

He doesn't beat out Chuck and Shaq, but Baron Davis deserves mention
He is the classic "what could have been" story.
I'm not fully convinced of that, mostly because I believe we did see his prime. I don't think he would have gotten any better, which is what I think of with "could have been" stories.

What about coming back from retirement Magic?

Okay you do have a point. I just wanted to see him thrive in the league for years to come. He was such an exciting player on the court. Maybe its my nostalgia. But Seattle could have very well been his peak/prime.

Of course it would have been nice to see him age more gracefully. I think he relied too much on athleticism, and once that started to go, he was done pretty fast.
No love for BORIS DIAW? Come on Cuh!

He wasn't fat, he was just older and slower. :biggums:
It's not like John Stockton coming back to play PF. Maagic was already 6'9, ideal PF height.

Oliver Miller was very skilled and he was always fat. He's not one of those guys who got fat near the end of his career. He was also legit fat, not just a bit chubby like some of the other players being mentioned. I'd say he had the best skill to fatness ratio.
