So, where are all the fashion kings around here?

Just wondering if you guys have any tips on wearing running shoes with jeans.

My job allows a "free dress" during the summer and was trying to GQ my sneaker+Jean game.

There are ways to pull it off, but there is a VERY fine line between pulling it off, and looking like you have no style.

I usually rock a comfortable classy shoe, but Im down to mix it up.

For example, really nice Nike running shoes?

See, this is more or so, basically a combo I would wear. But the part I'm having a hard time with, is the shirt. A dress shirt? a polo? like, kinda stuck with that part.

I see a lot of people wearing air max with jeans. Looks fine to me or just get you some comfortable casual shoes

Yeah, I guess my issue was more so with the shirt.

Like, We cant really wear T Shirts (other than Friday's). I see some people and they just can't pull it off. Like, Jeans, running shoes, just doesn't look it. Doesn't go together.

buy some sneakers that are actually designed to be worn with jeans...

some of that stuff is pricey but so are Nikes...Nikes can get up there in $$$

I always smirk when I see a guy wearing jeans and then sandals or flip flops. Really dude? :oldlol:

Depends if the running shoe is a solid color or what, also what color are your jeans? I would never wear running shoes with blue jeans just because it looks blah, I do however wear black nike freeruns with black jeans. For jeans, I usually stick to Jordans, but then again I don't like wearing them everyday. Same with jeans, I usually am rocking shorts so freeruns/low top shoes go well with that.

LOL way too skinny legged. Khakis are better than jeans. That's a bad look... cuz the jeans look like shit and the shoes look like shit.

I don't see why people care about shoes. I've pretty much worn every type of shoe. The key is develop what you do and do it. Don't seek to impress people. If people are like lol u cray wearing those shoes w/ that just be like heh.

Just go in.

But to me jeans are for heavy duty work. If you aren't gonna get your legs cut up doing what you're doing, I don't see why you'd wanna wear jeans. But that's just me.

That clearly is just you, because 98% of the Western culture wears jeans in situations where heavy duty work is not being done.

I disagree with this entire post.

Skin tight jeans are an absolute nono for men, but skinny like the pic posted? Fresh. Moving on, I like the darker colored jeans more than the light blue ones, never catch me wearing light colored jeans (not saying anything wrong with it, but not my style). Shoes are pretty nice too, dark to mesh in with the darker colored jeans, bright yellow sole makes for a nice contrast.

Before I keep going, how old are you? 35+, I understand why you wouldn't care what shoes you wearing even if they happen to be NB, or what jeans. I ask because you sound like my dad, he too loves kakhi colored pants and rocks that with his shirt tucked in and some brown leather loafers.

sup, yea not 35 yet. I'm prol older than you though.

And at dude saying it's clearly just you, yea that's the idea with style.

To me that get up I quoted looks like something someone v poor would be wearing, or young. It looks like some batman shit TO ME, but it's cool if dudes wanna wear that shit. I don't like it, personally.

Khakis are just better FOR ME, basically on all levels except conformity and construction work. And if you think khakis are for old men you wiln out... and should do some research.

Like I said my fashion advice is do you and if people get mad then they'll get over it. They always do. You can trust me or not.

Didn't say khakis are for old men, don't get it twisted. I got a couple pairs in the closet. I just thought since you are the type of guy who only wears jeans at work and thinks it's classless to wear them when going out, that you would be an older guy because you sound exactly like my dad, lol.

Pops always lecturing me how only cowboys wear jeans lmfao  I love him doe, he classy.

For me, I like a lot of different styles but my go to if I don't wanna be trying shit on would be all black with breds and a gold chain (tucked in/out, depends) and a nice watch that matches.

http://4.styleengine.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/7/files/2012/11/niki-bow-wow-aj4-bred.jpg

So basically, switch the shoes out with what bow wow wearing, take the jacket off because we in Florida, no need for that, and that's my go to. Sometimes will throw on a hat, most times will make my hair.
