Curry is actually a good defender. Not ultimate but a solid defender. The trouble is his offense heavily outweighs his defense, and of course his haters literally cant find any flaw in his offense.

I saw Westbrook getting the basket at will, problem was he kept looking to pass out for the 3 then finish in traffic.

Numbers can manipulate which is a form of "lieing" Curry is not a top 5 defender at PG. I'd argue 12-15. Paul, Rubio, Conley, Smart, healthy Bledsoe, Beverly, are all easily over him defensively.

Curry isn't a good defender but he doesn't need to be. His primary value is on the offensive end, and the Warriors know this. One way to slow down a great offensive player is to make them work on defense, but the Warriors do a great job of making that difficult for the opponent. Great teams know how to maximize the strengths of their players by allowing them to focus on what they do best.

I agree about the defensive switches, and that was part of my point. The Warriors know how to take pressure off him defensively. My other point was that it's silly to criticize his defense. His role is as an offensive weapon. It's like criticizing Rodman or Ben Wallace for not being good scorers.

saying he can't defend is extremely dishonest. his only weakness as a defender is that he (sometimes) can be foul prone, but other than that, he can stay in front of practically anyone, can fight through screens, and most importantly he doesn't gamble.

a lot of people like to call westbrook a "good" defender but he gambles far, far too much and it hurts his team a lot.

there aren't even a lot of "good" defensive point-guards anyways outside of maybe conley.
