View Full Version : Is It Me Or Is Lillard Starting To Copy Stephs Game?

It's starting to become pretty obvious. The game against the Warriors he was copying Currys' dribble moves/drives.

I was watching the game tonight against the Raptors and he pulled up from the same exact spot to hit a buzzer beater that Curry killed OKC with last week. You see players pattern games after previous players, but it's weird seeing a player mimic one of his contemporaries

Who's the reigning MVP again? It's not Lillard.

Lillard killed the Warriors. He's playing his own game though and he's a beast.

Don't know how much there is to this notion, but it's bound to happen. I think Curry's already changed the game forever. I think there's shots and situations that players/coaches didn't think could really be mastered before (plays just written off as "bad shots" and thus not even really practiced extensively) but as new players develop and as current players observe, what's always been universally known as a bad shot will begin to evolve a little.

Don't know where Curry goes from here but young fella's found a new way to succeed in basketball. People will try their best to emulate to varying degrees.

he should, remember a few years ago how Lillard was basically lethal from 3 point range? Everyone was talking about it. The last few years he sort of faded into obscurity but I assume he still has the shooting talent.

A lot of guys are shooting more threes. There is definitely a Curry effect going on right now.

So being really good means he's copying Curry?:oldlol:

You do realize he's always had this range right? Lillard just rarely needs to shoot from there. I think Curry is more craft with the ball. Cj McCollum is closer to Curry off the dribble than Lillard is.

Lillard made more 3s in his rookie season than anyone ever.

Did Lillard stop playing defense? If so, he's copying Curry.
