That last play by Shumpert made me mad. Why did he pass up a wide open 3 to dribble the ball into the paint and do nothing? What an idiot.

The defensive intensity kicked up and Kyrie took control. That's where having great offensive talent is sometimes enough, even when you may be outmatched with coaching and scheme.

So impressed with Stevens and what he's done with Boston's young talent, though. I truly believe he's the second best coach in the league. Give him this Cavs team and it would be scary (if LBJ decided he wanted to listen to him).

I don't think Amir was shooting for his Adam's apple...I think big guys who get the ball that far out and decide to dribble it in usually always push off with an elbow at their defender because they're historically terrible dribblers.

His whole shooting rhythm is in a bad place right now. He has a weird lean to the right on his jumpers going on. Free throws have been basically a disaster this year.

I have no really good explanation other than five long, grueling seasons of playing the most possible minutes and the most possible games finally showing up in different areas of his game.

He's incredibly frustrating. He's a decent help defender...he can rarely defend guys his own size, though. He can make an 18' jumper with some regularity, but he gets stone hands in the post on entry passes. A lot of the bonehead stuff seems to happen around him.

He'd be a deep rotation guy on any other winning team.

I actually don't think he is playing bad. His shot is way off, which will happen occasionally, and he will always get beaten up while trying to play freaking center. But, all told, I'm fine with the effort.

Easy to forget, but Bosh was often the most maligned player on the Heat despite the fact that he sacrificed the most individual talents for the good of the team.

Highest FT% is 78, and 3 other times between 76-78%...the rest between 68-75%, so he's more of a low-mid 70's(70-75) FT% shooter than a high 70's(76-79) FT shooter for most of his career.

Bosh was/is a far better defensive player. No one would argue otherwise. That said, Love can be a good enough defensive player in the right system. He's got a high basketball IQ and great positioning most of the time, even if his athletic ability is lacking.

There are things Love can do that Bosh can't, too. For instance, the Heat always struggled with rebounding when they went small. It is something they sacrificed in those scenarios and LeBron had to exert a lot of energy on the boards.

Kevin Love is a really good defensive rebounder.

He also has more range on his jumpshot so he is a better floor spacer... and he's good in the post and on the elbow.

They're two totally different players and Bosh might be better, but I bet you'd be surprised at the advanced statistics for Love on this Cavs team over the last two years. A lot of what he brings doesn't show up in a standard boxscore.

Yeah, I think the Cavs coaches spend too much time in set lineups. They'll play Thompson or Mozgov for quarters straight when its obvious one or the other needs to be switched out depending on the matchups. Same with Love. The pieces are there, just need to be mixed and matched in chaotic ways.

Good game Celtics. I hope you guys sign kevin Durant if you guys have a salary cap. This is a perfect team for him. A good defensive team with a bunch of talented role players.

And he might win another MVP cause Isaiah Thomas would accept his role as a 2nd option unlike Westbrook.

But if Durant play for the Warriors his, and Steph's numbers would go down.

I have the ultimate respect for Brad Stevens and their team plays their guts out but... no way. The talent gap is too wide, and those things tend to show up more in the playoffs than the regular season. See Atlanta last year as a good example.

Boston is really good considering their roster and I don't want to play them in the postseason just because it would be insanely physical (as it was last year) and someone key would probably get injured again. But, I don't see them as a legitimate threat.

GG Cs fans... you gotta a heck of a coach there and a nice young team. I'm impressed. They're ahead of schedule and should get a potential franchise player in the draft.
