Most people think 96 bulls is still ahead of 2016 warriors.

What if curry plays for 96 bulls and 96 MJ plays for this warriors? Which team better?

96 MJ - 30.4 ppg on 49%, 6.6 rebound, 4.3 assists and 2.2 steals

Curry - 30.5 ppg on 51%, 5.3 rebound, 6.6 assists and 2.1 steals

Similar stats, the most significant difference is MJ better at defensive and curry has unlimited 3pts ranges.

Mj would lead this group of role players to the same record as the pre Pippen Bulls

Curry on the 96 Bulls wouldn't change much

There are many factors to considering. Particularly the rule changes. Who adapts better to the different rules. How will the different rules affect their games as they get switched. Will today's rules benefit Jordan? Will 96 rules benefit Curry?

MJ is still a better player IMO and i doubt it will ever change with how better MJ was in the defensive department, stats are flawed and i hate how often are they brought out in regard to how much is behind them.

Bulls had a Curry in BJ Armstrong, John Paxson, and Steve Kerr. Curry is too fragile to have been anything more than a 3 point threat in the 80s and 90s. He would never have survived against the defenses and old NBA rules..

MJ would benefit without handcheckng while curry benefits shorten 3pts line but the pick and roll screen wouldn't be as easy in 96 due to illegal moving pick which the nba allow it today.

I am more interested who will have more team chemistry after they switched

Scottie Pippen would lead that team before Curry ever would and Rodman wouldn't take Steph "The Runt" Curry seriously.

Honestly I think Curry would be second fiddle to Pippen. He would be a spot up shooter like Paxson, Kerr, Armstrong, and others but better. He woudn't have the liberties of today's game. He would have a much harder time getting through those defenses. MJ would give the Warriors a real multi faceted player. Great defender. Unstoppable offensively. Sure Curry is a better shooter overall, but MJ can score in and out. With no handchecking MJ would have tons of each goes to the basket. Plus no trees in the paint.

They both win the championship, and that is what matters.

I've said this before since the whole Curry phenomenon began, when comparing him to most of the other greats he's the one that needs a right system and players that fit his strengths more than any other great.

For example, put Curry in the 89' Bulls in place of Michael, are they even making the playoffs let alone taking two games from the Bad Boy Pistons at their peak?!? Think about the level Michael had to take his game that year with the 80's Golden Generation still going strong (except for Bird), with Pippen and Grant still raw and inexperienced, he still reached the conference Finals and gave one of the greatest defensive and most physical teams of all time in the Bad Boy Pistons their only two defeats in the ENTIRE PLAYOFFS to the tune of 30ppg on 46%FG 6 rbs 7assts 2stls and 1blk

Would Curry be able to duplicate that with Michael's roster, against that Team with those Rules?!? I DON'T THINK SO.

Imagine Curry in 1996 with the shortened line?

Both teams win 48 games.

It would be interesting to know, if the Bulls make it to the Finals, how would Curry do against Payton.

It didn't even click with me that the line was shorter that year.

Similar offensive production but you completely forgot about defense.

Also, Curry's stats will drop a bit in 96 whereas MJ's stats rise a bit. So there's that too.

48 wins for Curry in 1989?!? LOL!!! More like 30!

1989 Peak Michael in today's soft, fundamentally flawed, no physicality, no intimidating big centers or forwards, a pseudo zone with defensive 3 seconds opening up the lane like never before, bad coaching, only one other great team in SA in the entire league, midget dumb as a rock PG's dominating offenses etc... Surround him with the Warriors cast with his competitiveness and overall game by that point in time?!?

It would not be out of the realm of possibility to think that literally only the 4 regular season games and playoffs against the Spurs would be the ONLY competitive games for the Warriors with 89 MJ instead of Curry.

Yeah, I mean I love Curry. Excited about where he could end up all time and am pulling for him to get as high up the ladder as possible.

But people are getting stupid with these Jordan comparisons. To this point, Curry has never experienced anything like the Jordan rules or some of those super physical defenses Michael has had to go up against. In actuality, he's had an MVP season, ship (no FMVP and even if you want to say he deserved one his series was certainly nowhere near comparable to some of Mike's best), likely another MVP and ship (we'll see if he gets FMVP this time). he hasn't shown he can dominate in the playoffs, with the highest stakes as often and as versatile as Mike.

I know it's fun to do this stuff, but it's pretty stupid at this point. Let the man breathe. Let the man add to his legacy without burdening him with unfair expectations/comparisons.

Steph Leads Bulls to Chip with shortened line shooting 55% from the three line. Pippen would be his Klay and Phil Jackson Kerr.
