Considering many of us have dropped cable and only do streams now. Doesn't it bug you when you haven't seen the game yet due to work schedule or falling asleep but someone puts a thread title that gives the results away. I'm not saying inside the thread if I want to watch UFC fresh I wouldn't open the UFC thread but win shouldn't the OTC be safe to not give the finishes on the thread title.

Just curious what your thoughts are.

I think they are fair game. If there is a game you desperately want to see so you recorded it, don't come to ISH until after you watched it.

In person, you have to actively state that you have not seen a game to get others to avoid talking about it.

My problem is whatsapp and Facebook. Facebook is easier to avoid if you take of the app. Whatsapp has spoiled some results for me. Just yesterday in my basketball group posted Yes Lakers! While I was out and had the game recorded. The message automatically pops up on my phone. It's happened a few times.

What is Whatsapp? This is the first I have heard of it.

It's an app that allows you to texts without having a provider connection. You can chat and create groups with whomever has the app. I have it so I can communicate with my son on his phone. My basketball group communicates through there. It's like an archaic snapchat

Cool, good to know. I lag behind on technology.

And it's fair game with sports for whatever reason. The same goes for other social media platforms such as FB.

The average person (on my friends list at least) will limit their episodic television posts to "OMG Walking Dead" or something less revealing whereas sports plays are spewed out and elucidated, the second they happen.

Why is that the case?

Fans like to display their fandom and brag/boast.
TV watchers share an understanding that a spoiler can literally ruin somebody's night or watching experience lol

I dunno... But yeah.... Just do what Myth said

I still have a keyboard that slides out of my phone. I just text and call. I'm usually vaguely familiar with popular apps, just never heard of that whatsapp. I'm aware of what Snapchat is, but have never used it.

Most of the time a big game will be everywhere, people talking about it on ISH, insta, snapchat, fb, twitter, radio, wtf how do you expect to escape it? If you don't want it spoiled, don't surf the internet the night of and turn the radio off on your way home. The world doesn't revolve around people who aren't on time, and it never should. Sporting events, there are no spoilers.

I gave my son my old phone. It has no data. But he can still access Internet anywhere there is WiFi. He can access whatsapp through there. That comes in handy if he stays late after school or needs to get picked up

This is mostly what my phone looks like:

Though, mine looks beat up from years of use. Still holds a battery charge for about 48 hours though. That is the one advantage (well, 2 if you count the cheap price of service).

This is why I got involved in the MS Paint threads a while back. I wasn't upgraded to Photoshop, so Paint is all I knew how to use anyway.
