I knew this would happen.
The media is hellbent on Hillary winning.
She is truly an unbeatable candidate, any time she is made to look stupid, she can play the victim woman card.
American Merkel is coming.
We are screwed.
But mostly the Iranians are screwed because Hillary is going to start a war with them as soon as she gets the chance.Real question is, will Trump do it?

Definitely not sexist.
It is definitely dismissive, but look at the nonsense argument Hillary put up: "Bernie was against auto bailout and wanted to cut jobs, waawaa" when the truth is Bernie wanted no bailout from tax money, period. He didn't pick and choose against automobile companies. Bernie was right - those companies that got bailed out are right back to business as usual. They know the precedent was set that if they ever screw up again in the future through their own doing, government will just bail them out through tax money. Very dangerous precedent because I guarantee you none of those companies will do the same if the US is ever in danger of defaulting on their debt. They will just move to another country.
You can't let nonsense like that from anyone (even Hillary) fly. Bernie did the right thing in shutting her down there. That is not sexism -- if anyone spouts nonsense like that, you have to defend yourself.

Bernie wanted no bailout from tax money, period. He didn't pick and choose against automobile companies. Bernie was right - those companies that got bailed out are right back to business as usual. They know the precedent was set that if they ever screw up again in the future through their own doing, government will just bail them out through tax money.
No bailout is a terrible, terrible policy choice. We now know the the US government has made money on the bailouts, $65.3B, in fact. (https://projects.propublica.org/bailout/)
However, even beyond that, there was incredible damage being done throughout the economy and there was no bottom in sight. Without the government stepping in to stabilize the financial system, there was a real chance of a Depression.
Perhaps the bailouts should have been done in different ways, but if we didn't step in, it would have been catastrophic. You had to put out the raging fire before you tried to address any other problem. If you remember they did not bail out Lehman and when news came out that Monday the stock market tanked. By that Thursday, there was a run on the banks going on. $550 billion in mutual funds were withdrawn. Then word leaked there was going to be a bailout and things calmed for bit. At the end of month the first bailout was voted down and Wall Street had its highest point drop ever and worldwide credit markets froze.

I don't think the second part is true either. Banks have to keep way more capital on their books now and the can't be leveraged as high. This is especially true for banks that so interconnected they are considered a threat to the system.
http://www.motherjones.com/files/blog_leverage_1980_2015.jpg
This rules make it easier to wind down a single bank without affecting the system.

Do you agree a dangerous precedent was set that if they ever screw up again in the future through their own doing, government will just bail them out through tax money?
If yes, then it validates Wall Street to take any risks in future because they know the government will have their backs no matter what. You can say it was a 1 time only deal but look at the precedent already set! 1 time is all it takes.
If no, why is wall street back to business as usual? Why no criminal charges? What lesson did they learn if there were no punishments?
Unfortunately, despite being on the brink of catastrophe and the destruction of the retirement savings of millions of American workers, its business as usual on Wall Street. At the Big Banks responsible for the crisis, bonuses are up, stock prices are soaring and pinstripe suits – rather than orange prison jumpers – remain the rage.
Following the collapse of the 2000 tech bubble and Enron, the Justice Department’s Corporate Task Force rang up 1,300 corporate fraud convictions, including the conviction of almost 400 CEOs and other high level executives.
What does the current DOJ and Securities and Exchange Commission have to show for their enforcement efforts following the financial crisis?
A few big fines against some of the banks, conveniently charged back to shareholders, a civil not criminal win against 28 year old Fabulous Fab, and a shiny new financial reform law called Dodd-Frank which has yet to be implemented.
Yes, the DOJ has brought charges against Ponzi schemers like Bernie Madoff and many relatively low level mortgage fraudsters. But “criminal cases brought by the department are widely seen as missing the heart of what caused the financial crisis,” noted Elkan Abramowitz and Jonathan Sack in a recent New York Law Journal Article.
The DOJ is certainly aware of its failure to bring cases that address in criminal charges the financial transactions that contributed to the crisis. Attorney General Eric Holder recently told the Wall Street Journal he would soon announce significant cases arising from the 2008 financial crisis.

No.
The bailout of the Big Banks and AIG were loans that were paid back. Fannie and Freddie were taking over and are 80% owned by the government and their profits have been going to the US Treasury.
There have been a lot of changes. The introduction of the concept of a Systemically important financial institution has changed how banks are run and how they are regulated.
The idea is to let a bank/insurance company fail by itself without taking the rest of the system with it.
Don't have time to fully discuss this, but they tried to convict the guys from the Bear Stearns fund that failed early on in the crisis and they failed (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/11/business/11bear.html) and they were acquitted. Jurors found reasonable doubt on every charge in 6 hours.
Basically, it's very hard to proof something failed because of fraud or something failed because of stupidity. Remember, this blew up in Wall Street's face too, they got caught holding the bag on a lot of this toxic waste. Had they truly known what was going to happen, they would have made different choices simply out of their own self interest.
I think Bernie's "the business model of Wall Street is fraud" is absurdly reductionist. It throws the need too far in the other direction and shows a misunderstand of what happneed. Even in something like AIG, it was a very small part of the company that caused Billions in losses.
What the ****...guy gets interupted, which is highly unpolite, by a womandoesn't take it and is called sexist?
Quite the opposite is sexist. Letting her talk because she is a woman while not letting a guy is sexist. He treated her like any other candidate would be treated.
You can't argue with a feminist. If you don't agree you're sexist.

Exactly why Drumpf can't beat Hillary in a one on one. And The Donald is shrewd enough to know that which is why he walked back everything he said about Carly Fiorina and why he ducked Meygn Kelly for so long. It's terrible optics talking down to a woman. Can you imagine the backlash he would get talking about his d*ck?
Bloodbath.

This.
Democrats have the media in their back pocket, so they can say no wrong...
"We are, if elected president, going to invest a lot of money into mental health," the Vermont senator said. "And when you watch these Republican debates, you know why we need to address the mental health."
Imagine Donald saying we need better mental healthcare because the Democrat candidates are mentally unstable... Just... imagine....
The backlash. From 'feel good' voters who think making fun of mental health is no laughing matter. From feminists who go berserk because you called them crazy.
He'd never hear the end of it. Unfortunately, Republicans don't have that luxury. Makes it that much harder to 'persuade' the masses to do what you want them to do.

I'm 100% pro equality where it's feasible, but he was not talking down to her. He just comanded the respect he gives her. Dudes whiteknighting for her, one of the most powerful women of the world, on twitter just shows how they see her as weak actually. the problem with hillary and bernie is that, like the democratic party as a whole, they've cheapened the whole meaning of "racism" by overuse.
you can get called a "racist" by a dem based on what car you drive. :oldlol: i read an article the other day about the recent rise in white supremacist activity. of course topped off by a picture of a confederate flag. if there is indeed any "recent" rise in white supremacist hate-mongering, it's in response to the sharpton wannabes trying to wage a race war.
i'm surprised that neither hillary nor bernie have been screaming for a ban on disney's "the great locomotive chase". you know, that old saying that even paranoids have enemies? no hater has to look very far to find haters for the other side.

Bern did nothing wrong and Hillary can take care of herself just fine. But there's rules to politics and etiquette. Just the name of the game.

So calling your opponents mentally ill is substance? That's your idea of a coherent debate?
Its a simple question. I don't know why I've had to ask three times to get an answer.
Just say 'no, you're right, if Trump said that he would be castrated by the media' and we can move on. You know its true, I know its true, so just say it. Not like it changes anything.

Part of the etiquette is to not intefere and listen, when another person is speaking in a debate. After that form your response and the other person should listen.

I would feel bad for Bernie but the left in general have created this environment where anything can be construed as racist, sexist, etc. and Bernie Sanders is to be blamed just as much for creating and fostering this environment.
Otherwise I would argue that calling Bernie Sanders a "sexist" is a load of shit and demeaning to Hilary Clinton and all women. We really gonna act like Hilary or any other women can't handle themselves against men in a debate?
Typical left victimization.
