It will be interesting to see your picks and it would also give me a list of great movies to check out. Obviously picks are gonna be subjective and may seem odd to some, but that's the point of this thread. I'm tired of the Godfahter, Shawshank Redemption etc... lists.

My only 10/10 movies till now are:

Legends of the Fall
Good Will Hunting

For me Rocky I, II, III, IV, Rocky Balboa and Creed are also on the 10/10 list.

The Rockster is one of the best film characters. These films are underappreciated in terms of how great they are.

Man I watched the Godfather two weeks ago remastered on a giant screen, with a full orchestra playing the whole score. It was bliss. You felt like you were actually at the wedding.

What an amazingly constructed film. Back when filmmakers took their time, and would let the scenes breathe. You felt like you were actually at the wedding.

I would give that a 10. Tough to dish out perfect 10s, although I have lots of personal favorites, I wouldn't consider them flawless

Because they are perfect in what they tried to be, perfect comedies, perfect dramas, perfect action movies.
You don't judge the raid on how great of a comedy it is, so it doesn't make sense to give it a less than a perfect score when you judge it as an action film.

Let's be honest you just hate Snyder, don't you?
How is it crap?
The soundtrack is awesome, the visuals are breathtaking to say the least.
It has a clear story that explains itself well and doesn't leave any question marks or logic faults.
every actor gives good to great performances in the movie.
The action is fantastic and there's a lot of it.
So what's the problem with the movie?
The destruction of the city is the only criticism you hear of this movie and that is just blasphemous, considering every time two super powered aliens fight in the comics a city is left in ruins.

The dialog was tremendously bad. The performances were stiff ("great" lol), Superman himself has 0 charisma which he should have plenty of. There was a stupid blue tint to the movie that was pointless. There was in your face advertisements that are really distracting. The movie used the same plot device of "big dangerous beam of light endangers Earth" as we have seen in every other super hero movie. The dad's stupid decision to run to the car and not let his invincible son go (all he had to do was do enough to make it semi-believable), for a dog we are supposed to care about but never see again making his sacrifice seem unfelt.

superman never had charisma to begin with, neither in the comics or the animated series.
And why was dialogue bad lol?
Stiff performances on what standard?
His sacrifice solidified his character, because he had that concrete thought of Clark not showing his true power to anyone at any time under any circumstances. He mentioned that to clark enough times for him to believe it. It's just good writing.
The blue tint thing or ads is just stupid, your opinion is pretty weak and you don't have really good arguments mate.

a minor plothole doesn't exclude from the overall experience being perfect.
Some of these retarded critics never appreciate movies they're supposed to be appreciated, they give lesser ratings because they didn't like how someone was dressed or the accent wasn't as good in their minds, that's just completely stupid.
Learn to appreciate life people.

what? I dont think you understand what I said.

You can love something that isn't perfect.

No shit, but how do you love it more than something else you consider perfect, hence better...

its a paradox.

but you can consider something perfect but still not think it's as good as something else you personally like. My favourite player might be Penny Hardaway but I wouldn't say he's better than Michael Jordan. When I try and rate something like a movie out of 10 I don't just rate on my enjoyment I rate on if i thought it had flaws. Maybe I can't fault it but that doesn't mean I enjoyed it more than something terrible that I liked.

Because I get more joy out of it, but at the same time I recognize it lacks in aspects other films don't.

If "Snakes on a plane" was my fav would I have to give it a 10, although I know it's bad?

This and I still love my 10/10 movies.

Big fan. House of Cards is top tier right now.

Se7en was really good but I don't know if the movie is a 10. Spacey's performance definitely is though.

Yeah, killed it over the weekend. Really good season, I think my thoughts on it are somewhere in the BTE.

My only real issue was the Claire as VP thing, that's beyond ridiculous, but the season as a whole was amazing. Acting was great, writing was great, story was great. It was the slickest season of the series imo and one of the slickest seasons I've ever seen of anything. Spacey was amazing.

Yes, very much unknown movie due to low budget. It is good though. Makes me sad that you need big budget and big name actors to do well. Many good ideas get tossed due to that :(

Ohhhhh, that cast. The intro was cool where he meets the lined up convicts.

The cast was spectacular. Really cool seeing Jim Brown acting too.

It gets hammy at times but is it ever a fun movie.
