View Full Version : NBA All-First team: Westbrook, Harden or Lillard?

Considering the season's heading to its final stretch..we can predict who mkes the All-NBA teams.

Curry is a lock for one of the guard positions while the other position is IMO contested between Westbrook, Dame Lillard and Jimbo Harden.

Should Westbrook make it because he has the best stats at 24/7/10 added with the fact he's got more triple doubles than most of the players combined! or Lillard because he's "done the most with the least" or Jimbo for his pure scoring prowess..

Who makes it?

Did Chris Paul die?

Curry and Westbrook. They've been consistent all season. You don't make first team for having hot stretches, you do it all year long and your team should have a good/great record.

Lillard and Harden will be either be on the 2nd or 3rd team.

Curry
Westbrook
Paul
Harden
Lowry
Lillard

Has anybody made the NBA All-First team while not even being selected as a sub for the all star game the same year?

If not then it takes out Lillard out of the convo.

CP3 + Westbrook

EDIT: Ooops I meant to say Curry and CP3. Westbrook is on the 2nd team. Brain fart.

He's not in the conversation because he has multiple guards playing equal or greater basketball than him while winning way more games.

Westbrook of course. I'm actually more curious for who they will left out between Leonard, Lebron and Durant, but I guess it will be Kawhi.

As good as Kawhi is, he's not better than James and Durant.

He'll probably get another serious consideration for winning DPOY, which is all the more impressive for a kid who's only 24.

Durant should be there based on scoring. Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol won't be there this year (or shouldn't be). So that frees up 2 spots. Do they always pick based on position? That is , do they have to choose a center and a true power forward?

Will be intereting to see what happens.

When the league removed the center position from the all-star game and replaced it with another forward position, there were a good group of posters on here who thought (and probably will likely happen) it would happen with All-NBA teams too.

I don't think Kawhi is on their level, but he's definitely the next best forward I can think of this season.

Westbrook
Curry
Durant
Lebron
Cousins

2nd:
Paul
Harden
Leonard
Draymond
Davis

3rd:
Lillard
Lowry
George
Butler
Towns

HM: Drummond, Klay, Vuc, Brook, Howard, Aldridge, Wall, Millsap, Pau, Whiteside
Injured: Griffin, Marc, Bledsoe

Isn't Butler listed as a guard ?

Don't know. IMO positions are quite meaningless, especially when considering 2 v 3.

Edit: Just did some quick digging. BBR lists...

Butler as a SG at 6'7, 220lbs.
Snell as a SF at 6'7, 200 lbs with 32 starts.
Dunleavy as a SF at 6'9 230 lbs with 12 starts.

Butler is, to me, a SF more naturally, but it seems like he plays SG more often.

Thanks for the reply.

I think with the Spurs record you can't really overlook Kawhi on that first team. But I agree, he is not quite as good as Lebron and Durant but he is still really good.

Agreed. At lower levels of basketball they are often referred to as 1 PG, 2 wings, and 2 posts.

I predict

1st Team

ZVC
CP3 (could go with Westbrook too, super close. Toss up)
KD
LBJ
I don't ****in know...AD or Cousins I guess. Would have thought AD would be here guaranteed. I guess he still could?

2nd team

Lowry
Westbrook (or CP3 shame one of them will miss 1st team)
Kawhi
DrayFraud I guess.
AD or Cousins. I can't see them voting Cousins 1st team tbh. So I'll put him here.

3rd team

Lillard
Harden
Paul George
Millsap
Drummond. Don't think KAT makes it as a rookie, but he could.

Umm, Westbrook or Paul should get the other guard slot on the First Team, with the other joining Harden on team two.

There's a chance our Rockets may miss the playoffs, (but with Utah keeping up it's losing, maybe not.) and plus, for some reason I don't see the coaches voting Harden in this year. He seems to have lost a lot of fans. Hell, if the NBA All-Star game had happened a week later he would have missed out over Lillard.

Which is why Kobe should have never gotten a First Team selection.

He wasn't even close to a topic of discussion. :lol

Unless they change this year, NBA teams are 2 Guards - 2 Forwards - 1 Center.

1st: Curry, CP3
2nd: GOATbrook, Harden
3rd: Lillard, Lowry

The last three are pretty interchangeable, but Harden should and will make the 2nd team.
