It is a risky thing to integrate and it could backfire. I am no economist but raising salary would increase spending. In the short term, you may be fine but 5-10 years later, it could add up raising the roof on costs for produces.

That is always a danger for financial aid and even scholarships to some degree. Even if their parents pay for it out of their pocket, the kid may go out there and screw it up.

This is why you need a committee to ensure that the bad students are thrown out if they fail enough classes. Departments in my college at Rutgers University were like that. You had to meet a certain GPA to stay in your major. They threw out people who were not keeping the minimum GPA. Not all majors were like that though. Quite a few other departments did not care. The issue is many colleges nowadays take whatever money they get offered and just disregard the GPAs. Many don't but too many do so what do you do? Force every college to have the same GPA requirements? That would never work since colleges differ so much from state to state. Tough issue to solve and I don't have the right answer. :confusedshrug:

Made me a little bit uncomfortable to watch. Immigration is definitely a top 5 issue but there are so many other issues out there that impact Latinos that they themselves don't realize it. I understand many of their friends and family members came over to get away from troubled regions of South America but topics more than just immigration impact their every day lives.

Idk man. I was an immigrant myself in late-90s. Jobs, income, rising costs of products, housing market, schooling were all issues my family and I faced. They covered these issues in the debates but it was all from the perspective of immigrants who entered illegally rather than as refugees or student or something.

I don't know what else has he said in the past as they found that clip of him essentially saying he respected Castro. I am sure Castro has done some good things but much of his actions have been tyranny and king-like. Nobody is 100% evil. Bernie can discuss it in more depth but it shouldn't be hard to explain himself. Better than refusing to answer the question and just avoiding it.
