Since when?

LOL.

It's probably position dependent. Anthony Davis is a 25/12 player, referring to points and rebounds. Chris Paul is a 20/10 player, referring to points and assists.

The order has always been points, rebounds assists

On pretty much every box score or stats resource

First time since 1998 that player has posted 25 pts, 20 assists, 10 rebounds

Only 3 players in NBA history have done it!

You don't change the order because a guy plays a different position

then it gets mixed up and people get confused

Thinking Westbrook got 20 rebounds

The order with posting a statline is: Points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks

You're an idiot. You can change it to whatever you want to make the line read smoother.

Nobody would say: Westbrook had 30 points, 1 rebound and 17 assists. They would say he had 30 points and 17 assists and not even mention the rebound.

Go find a girl or make a sandwich or something. :facepalm

Oh yes there is

Points, rebounds, then assists

This is how it has been since the 90's

Don't believe me go look it up

just because it's listed like that on a box score doesn't matter.

people are free to read/write stat lines as they please.

and people will continue to do so.

forever.

It's bad practice

How will we know whether Westbrook had 11 rebounds, or 20?

Keep it consistent. No need to change up a 3 category stat line. If it's two, it's understandable, but not three.

How much do you have to have the ball in your hands to get that many points and that many assists?

I'm going to side with Im Still Ballin here, no matter where you go it's always pts/rbs/asts. Evidence?

I literally just typed in "Points Assists Rebounds Order" into google and this article came up http://www.landofbasketball.com/records/summary_season.htm with the title "Summary of NBA Individual Records: Points, Rebounds and Assists"

If you mention the word assist of course is not confusing, if you just post 25/20/11 like the title it reads 25 points, 20 rebounds, 11 assists.

It's just common knowledge

It's stupid to have two different patterns for frontcourt and backcourt players

And what about wings? Do we go half and half?

Ridiculous

Point Rebounds Assists

The way it has always been

Nobody is saying it's not historically written that way.

But people tend to switch around the stats based on the numbers.

It's very common for espn/sports sites to list just points/assists for players. So when they have an overall good game it's human nature to put the higher numbers first.

Peak Magic Johnson stat line!

I like how Westbrook played last night. He was really under control and dominated the game with his passing.

He's really matured since the triple surgery..his court generalship and vision has evolved into one of the best in the league.

Yes, Dion "missed open layups" Waiters and Enes "worst defender in the league" Kanter should be our primary ball handlers and anchors in offence and defence.

It is league wide, there's always a bias to give home players freebies, this one just a bit too obvious :hammerhead:

Not even the best performance for him this calendar year.

It's become clear to me he's the 6th most talented player in NBA history. He can move the charts to as high as 3 if he ever improves his 3.
