View Full Version : Lebron was willing to permanently move to the 4 in order to get Joe Johnson

Sources with knowledge of James' intentions informed cleveland.com that the four-time MVP made it known to Cavaliers' management and Johnson that he would slide to power forward on a permanent basis to open up a starting spot for his former Olympic teammate.

All I care about is winning. That's all that matters to me," James confirmed to cleveland.com. "A piece like Joe, you know what it does to your team and if he was concerned about playing time or concerned about starting, then I'll sacrifice. I'll sacrifice to get a guy like that to help us try to win a championship."

Couple of interesting things here, Lebron has been reluctant in the past to work primarily out of the post until recently and JJ chose a starting spot in Miami over a starting spot with the Cavs

Lebron is a prima dona, did Lecoach just assigned Love to perma center position or to the bench by that statement.

Does LeGm know that starting love at 5 himself at 4 their defense will be a walking laughing stoke or LeGm have love traded this off season in mind. Or leGm maybe thinking of leaving Cleveland again and assemble another "super team" elsewhere since he got the "blueprint".

fact is Lebran is ego maniac, every time he opens his mouth all he can think is himself. No concept of others'. Thats why he always rub people the wrong way and then come back and play victim.

Lebron probably willing to go to the bench if it means getting another all star

Wouldn't be surprised to see him sign for the vet minimum with dubs after Durant signs for the max.

these stories coming out are getting harder and harder to believe. either someone really wants to continually sully lebrons name or the guy is an egomaniac with no one willing to check him.

Yeah...they seem almost TOO weird to be true, but that's him through in and through out. His whole persona...everything he does...is consistent with this kind of stuff.

this isn't just a "story", this is something Lebron came out and said

"A piece like Joe, you know what it does to your team and if he was concerned about playing time or concerned about starting, then I'll sacrifice. I'll sacrifice to get a guy like that to help us try to win a championship."

his "sacrifice" was him moving to the 4 so that JJ could start.

I mean, you're trying to make a push. We're in March. You get a guy like Joe Johnson, you get a guy that can change your team for the better. I wouldn't have a problem with [moving to the four.]

Is Lebron really that high IQ of a player if he thinks bringing in Joe Johnson as a starter to the Cavs was going to make a significant difference and only that would justify him moving to PF?

Sounds like something any other coach or GM would get killed for.

Lebron is already at his best at PF so...

Their best lineup right now is easily Bron and TT at the 4 and 5

I wish people would actually read the article

Kevin Love was going to slide over to the 5 according to Lebron and TT/Moz would be the bigs off the bench

I agree. But I'm saying why would Joe Johnson be the difference in Lebron playing the 4 vs 5? Just sounds stupid to me.

If you look at the success he had in Miami, its pretty obvious he's much more suited for the PF position.

Lebron has turned into a Laker fan. "Is he good? Can the Lakers get him?"

Holy f*ck Lebron is one pathetic man. Dude can't accept going bald. Now he's begging for help.
