He's playing great basketball without Blake Girffin.

He should be recognized for what he's done with that team but he doesn't get any credit because people are idiots who dickride the same f*cking players over and over.
Look at that team. There's no way they should be fighting for the 3rd seed right now.
They have no ballhandlers and playmakers outside of him. Nobody besides Crawford get get their own shot and he's terrible. CP is the one who makes everything happen out there.
Look at how many below average or non-contributing players they have: Rivers, Crawford, Pierce, Green, Mbah-Moute, Johnson, Aldrich, Prigioni. For a team trying to win a championship that's PATHETIC.
This team is filled with a bunch of clowns outside of CP3 and Redick. CP deserves one MVP for his career for constantly carrying these teams every year.

Jordan has played pretty well but I agree CP3 doesn't get enough credit for what he's doing. However Curry is the MVP and he deserves it.

Crazy to think Wade & CP3 will retire with 0 MVPs.

I gotta admit.. CP3 has done his thing this year. Gotta give credit where credit is due. :applause: :applause: :applause: But he still gotta translate that to playoff wins still.

That likely won't happen this year either. He's going up agaihst S.A or Golden State in the 2nd Round. If he could pull off an upset that would be amazing for his legacy.

The MVP race has been over for a while now. There's no way the MVP is going to anyone else but Steph Curry.

I feel like I should save this thread for the annual "Chris Paul is worthless because he doesn't get it done in the POs".
Maybe someday people will start to recognize his and TMac's greatness without worrying about lack of "playoff moments".

Real question should be first team or second team?
I say if the Clips get a better record, I'm putting him ahead of Westbrook

What does Paul do better than Westbrook?
By my estimation:
Scoring: Paul more efficient, Westbrook more dominant. I say Westbrook.
Rebounding: Westbrook
Passing: Likely a tie.
Defense: Paul gets tons of credit, but I don't see it. Another tie.
Running an offense: Paul. Westbrook doesn't even have an offense to run.
Since Running an offense is vague, I give you...
Leadership passion: Westbrook
Westbrook is the better player right now. It is close, but it is accurate to say so. The only reason Paul could possibly deserve the first team over Westbrook is if we continue to do the wrong, erroneous thing and reward individuals for team accomplishments.

Well, without Blake, they have gone with CP3 handling the rock and DJ manning the inside and surrounding CP3 with shooters and it has worked. So without Blake, the spacing has been better. And DJ and CP3 work the p&r great. But Redick has been absolutely lights out and right now, is one of the best 2 guards in the league. But yes, CP3 has been great but DJ and Redick also compliment him almost perfectly. Redick the spacing and DJ the p&r.

How about assist/turover ratio, where CP3 is GOAT level? He is much more careful with the ball and doesn't go off track. And CP3 is the better defender. He also runs the p&r better and is the better passer. CP3 plays the PG position almost perfectly as it should be played but his ball dominant style is easier to slow down in the playoffs.

You are way too good a player and poster to actually believe this. Westbrook is insanely explosive and is a great player. I don't even care if you want to say he is a better player. What you DON'T get to say he is even on the same page as CP3 as far as floor generalship, passing, and defense. You should be able to tell that in a few moments of watching.
Westbrook has been a league leader in TOs every year he has been in the league. He avg 4.4 last year and 4.2 this year. For all his athleticism, he gets caught in the middle of awful decisions all the time. Meanwhile, CP3s CAREER asst/TO ratio is better than 4:1. RWB is ~2:1, which is realy bad for PG.
