Currently they're the 7th seed at basically a .500 record and DJ in his last 11 games is averaging 15 ppg/14 rpg on .65 FG%. Surely he'd help out, put them above the Blazers in standings perhaps, but a part of me feels like they dodged a bullet. Same for Dwight (who was on the Mavs radar for a few years).. Anyways think they'd be legit contenders?

The Clippers would have digressed.

The race from 4th to 8th would be closer than what it is now. Dallas would be a 4th or 5th seed while the Clippers would be on the playoff bubble similar to how Houston is.

Dallas would be battling for the fifth, maybe the fourth seed if you were to add DeAndre. Yes, Zaza has been a pleasant surprise, but Jordan's help D and rebounding would've been huge.

On the flip side, with the Blake injury, the Clippers would be around the sixth to seventh slot. They would've added Zaza to help out, and Aldrich would get more burn and he has been good off the bench. Paul has been leading the Clippers without Blake over the past thirty or so, but over a season could be gassing.
