David Stern ended Kobe's career. David Stern propelled Bran's career. Yet Kobe still came out better.

Fact is, as you stated, Kobe ended his career carrying Dwight the scrub and Pau the softie. I love Pau, but he checked out emotionally and mentally due to outside circumstances.

Paul is too head strong to ever check out and he would've had Kobe's back all the way. But Stern hated Kobe and adored Bran.
