In an age when point guards DOMINATE and control the game, you NEED a great pg. Time to show Jackson the door, he is a senile old man.

When is Phil gonna realize that the triangle doesn't work unless you have Jordan or Kobe at the 2

You don't need an elite PG to win titles. This has been proven time and time again throughout NBA history, in particular by Phil Jackson Championship teams.

Knicks fans have it rough. Every year seems to get worse somehow lol.
I was about to call them the Dallas Cowboys of basketball, but at least in football you can go from shit to playoffs pretty quick.

Carmelo might kill the team for another 3 years. Porzingis is a nice player, but he'll peak in a year or two and eventually force a game based on media hype and belief that he's the man. That'll probably result in a few more dissapointing seasons and finally make Phil Jacksons legacy end terribly. Carmelo will go down as one of the biggest underachievers of all time and Jose Calderon will somehow still be playing backup point guard.

Bet no one expected to miss the glory days of Charlie Ward and Chris Childs.

Wonder if Allan Houston is available.

If he wants to continue running the triangle, he really doesn't. Just a good defensive PG that can spot up some shots.

They don't need a top flight pg... If they had a prime mj or Kobe :lol

Unfortunately they have a crap roster and no pick this year.. Unless they trade melo for some pieces the future isn't bright

Interesting considering he was fined for his comments on D'Angelo Russell - http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--knicks-fined-for-phil-jackson-s-comment-on-d-angelo-russell-032317319.html

Do they need a top PG? Probably not. Do they need three-point shooting? Perhaps.

Besides curry who's the last top tier pg to win a ship? You don't need it, if they sign clarkson/delly and bazemore Knicks will be set

You need a guy who can defend, run an offense, and shoot the 3 ball. That's not an easy combo to find outside of the elite PG's. Even some of the supposed elite PG's in the league don't do all three. That's why I'm a big fan of Mike Conley. He can defend, run the offense, and hit the 3 ball... but he doesn't dominate the ball offensively, and you don't have to treat/pay him like a superstar.

He's right, but they can't have a turnstile defender there either.

Mike Conley is not elite but he's a top 10 PG and very good. Bring him on.
