Many games become blow outs , if not a team never in contention.
I was driving home from the twin cities and thinking of how a game would always become a competitive contest.

Example :
A team reaches over a 20 point lead.
At that time the 3 point rule for that team is dissolved.
If a player on the leading team takes a 3 point shot it is only worth 2 points.

That way if a team jumps over a team in the 1,2,or 3 qtr , the trailing team can get back in the game by making three point shots.

when the team with the 20 + point lead goes under the 20 point plat to- both teams are allowed the value of the 3 point shot.

Resolution -
It may or may not allow the team with the least points to make the game competitive at the end of the game. (In steady of starters sitting on the bench for 1-2 qtrs watching)

That would be interesting, but the team that gets ahead would feel very cheated and not like it at all, so you'd have a lot of the good teams crying foul and complaining

No, teams come back from 20-25 point leads all the time. And teams build on a 20+ point lead.
