As one of the most experienced and knowledgeable basketball analysts in the world, I just want to tell the younglings here to don't think the champion is set already. It may seems that Warriors have the road clear to the championships, but you never know when someone important will get injured (just like last year's Cavs).

Basketball is as much luck as skills and talent and hardwork. You can have the best team of all time but you can't control who's going to get injured in a critical moment.

The correct mentally to watch basketball is to observe, not to expect.

Cavaliers wouldnt have won even with their whole team healthy. Curry too strong and the Warriors as a whole are on another level

Last year the Cav's almost beat the warriors with Irving and Love both injured. You don't think they would of won with all of their 3 best players healthy?

Delly had to be hospitalized after Game 3 he was so dehydrated and exhausted. Here's a guy that was accustomed to being a crazy high energy guy for maybe 20 minutes a night suddenly playing 40+ minutes a game in The Finals.

The Warriors may have won regardless, and they definitely deserve all of the accolades they get, but the Cavs team that played in The Finals was a shell of the team they could have been. It's not debatable.

What if the Cavs were/are better without Love and Irving's defense?

I don't believe that at all. The most recent game they played that season and the only in which both teams were healthy the cavs won pretty convincingly. The cavs were 33-3 after that trades in games Kyrie, lebron and Kevin played together. It was truly a dominant team and I believe it would have beaten golden state 4 games to 1.

The OPis right and what justice it wwould be if the cavs and warriors face off and the warriors suffer several injuries

They lost 3 times from January 15th to late April with love and Irving playing. They definitely weren't better without them. IIrving and love have also held golden state under 100 points in 2 out of the 3 games played with lebron vs GS. In game 1 with Kyrie playing the warriors were held under 100 in regulation.

The problem the cavs faced were directly due to Kevin and Kyrie's absence. Lack of depth caused players to wear down as the series went in and lebrons efficiency was low due to not having Kyrie and love. Statistics showed last year that lebrons shooting percentage was much higher when love and or Kyrie were on the court. Last, the real reason the cavs lost is because of lack of offense. Their efficiency was horrible the last few games

Was lurkin on REALGM the other day and there was practically a whole thread dedicated to how a Curry injury could increase the chances of a championship for Cleveland.

But it wasn't very informative. There was a strange aura about it. Poster after poster mentioned that it's Cleveland's only chance...as if they've totally given up on strategizing. They're literally looking at an injury to Curry as an acceptable strategy.

A few of the dorks on RealGM were doing that? File that in the "not surprising" row under the "who cares" section.

Here's hoping Leonard, curry, Lebron all break a leg this year.

Spurs could still win without Leonard.
