SEATTLE - King County Sheriff's investigators say a man with a hatchet was killed after he tried to attack a 7-Eleven store clerk Sunday morning in White Center.

They say a customer was sitting inside the store drinking coffee around 5:45 a.m. when a man wearing a mask entered the store located near South 110th Avenue and 8th Avenue South.

The man began swinging a hatchet at both the customer and the store clerk, then attacked the clerk.

"We don't know if the intent was to commit a robbery because the suspect didn't say anything," said King County Sheriff Sergeant Cindi West.

The customer pulled out his own gun and shot the man. The man died at the scene.

The store clerk suffered a minor injury to his stomach during the attack but, the owner says he's doing OK.

Detectives say the customer does have a permit to carry a concealed handgun.

"We believe had this Good Samaritan not acted, we might have a dead clerk on our hands right now," West said.

The case will be forwarded to the King County prosecutor's office to determine if any charges will be filed.

Good kill.

I need to know if the guy with the hatchet was black and the guy with the gun was white before I can decide who was in the right and who was in the wrong.

Didnt even see it reported until now.

Shocker. But had it been a white dude who tried to shoot up a 7-11... then it'd get reported but only if he was stopped by an unarmed political activist.

That's why I always carried in Houston. That city never sleeps and you don't know who you'll run into at a gas station downtown.

Like I say, better to have and not need then to need and not have.

Retards don't get it.

Most countries with banned guns, you still are able to get one, normally to hunt, but if you want one for safety, you still can get it, and even if you want to carry it concealed, you still can get, you just can't buy it of the counter, you need permits.

Get it?

So that guy that shot the other guy with the Hatchet, would still have his gun, but the guy that goes to the local theater and starts killing people with his automatic machine gun would not.

Get it?

Or are you guys just too dumb?

This guy is borderline retarded at best. Dude contradicts himself in the same sentence. His basic logic is so obviously faulty yet he speaks so matter-of-factly. But you can't argue with stupid. :hammerhead:

Well only stated facts, i didn't give any opinion, so if you can explain me how someone can contradict themself when stating fact, humanity would be grateful, that would be a historic breakthrough.

No seriously i dare you and you apes pals, to show where i contradict myself on the same sentence.

Since they both owned legal guns, I don't understand the question. Or the answer.

Unless you are suggesting we don't need semi-automatic rifles (FYI, the Colorado theater shooter wasn't using a fully automatic weapon), in which case I'd tell you to go suck a dick.

Dude, what??

First things first, automatic machine guns are not allowed to be sold to the public, period. Secondly, why would the theater guy be excluded from obtaining his gun with a permit? The government nor the gun seller does not know the buyers true intentions at the time of purchase. Plus, people snap. One day you're cool and pointing your gun at some targets at the range, and the next day you're pointing it at your co-workers and watching each of them go down.

Yes they are.

.You need to be eligible to possess firearms in general.
.You must live in a state where NFA items are permitted and machine guns, specifically, are legal to possess.
.The machine gun you wish to acquire must have been manufactured on or before May 19, 1986. That is the cutoff date for entries to be made in the NFRTR (National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record), the registry of all NFA items in the United States including machine guns.
.You must locate a Class III dealer (FFL01+SOT) that sells or can transfer in the machine gun you wish to acquire in your state of residence.
.You must purchase the machine gun upfront prior to transfer and have it shipped to your Class III dealer. For a full-auto M16, this will be anywhere from $12,000 and up. Typical prices for an M16 hover around $14,000 to $16,000.
.Once purchased and with your dealer, the dealer will fill out the Form 4 application on your behalf to submission to the BATFE and collect your $200 NFA transfer stamp tax.
.The application will be submitted. Now you wait 8+ months for the full FBI background check and BATFE processing to complete.
.Once the Form 4 is processed, it will be returned to the dealer along with the tax stamp which is part of your paperwork. You can then take possession of your military grade fully automatic firearm and take it home.
.The tax stamp must be kept with the firearm it belongs to at all times! The tax stamp is your only affirmative defense to prove you are not in possession of an illegal machine gun. The tax stamp is proof you paid the transfer tax and legally transferred the machine gun. Ranges that allow Class III will want to see the stamp. If you get pulled over and the gun is discovered/inspected, law enforcement will definitely want to see it too. You may be required to present the firearm for inspection on demand by the BATFE.
.You may not transport the fully automatic firearm across state lines for any purpose without prior consent of the Federal government. You must request this in advance and provide details on where the firearm is going, when you are leaving and when it will return to its registered location of residence.
.You cannot leave the presence of your fully automatic firearm. If someone else is shooting it, you must be with it, legally speaking. The one exception to this is if you have formed a legal trust for the purpose of possessing the firearm, in which case all beneficiaries of the trust (usually family or employees) may have access to the firea

Now if you can tell me what's the reasoning behind so many restrictions for a automatic machine gun, and absolutely none for this:
