Knicks should do something in free agency. Melo can't stand Calderon making a game winning buzzer beater 3. Ship his ass out :oldlol:

This guy stays and takes massive money knowing good and well that the Knicks are essentially rebuilding. Wtf does he want them to do?

There isnt even one single free agent out there that would make this team relevant. Theyre not getting Durant - who wouldnt fit with carmelo and zingis anyway - and theres nobody else elite out there who will be realistically available in free agency.
This team is not "a piece away." Adding a Joe Johnson level "star" - even a prime Joe Johnson level - does nothing. Carmelo isnt even good and he doesnt make his team better, just different. They have no pick this year.
Who are they supposed to add thats gonna make any difference whatsoever?
Theyre gonna suck for as long as hes there under contract.

Carmelo's ego doesn't allow him to see that his prime is almost over and the Knicks won't mortgage their future around a talented born loser.
If he wanted what he wanted, he would of joined the Bulls on less money.
He didn't and that's fine, but don't complain when your rotting away on your mountain of money because you chose money over the chance to play for a contender.

Are the Knicks still trying to cater to this guy? It doesn't seem like they are, but it doesn't seem like Melo has taken notice.

Well it looks like phil is trying to listen to what melo has to say, and get his input. Getting Rolo and other okish role players means they are trying to at least be decent with their limited resources. Also looks like Phil will coach the team next year or at least their home games if Phil doesn't find a suitable coach that doesn't suck.

He is right, they need to ship his fat ass.
I don't even know if some desperate team would be willing to give up, lets say top 5 pick...

Problem with the Knicks is that they have no assets and that's because of a 12 years of incompetence from the FO that sacrifices long term building for instant success(competing for the 8th seed)
Alot of people are blaming Phill but what do you expect him to do? We don't own our first round pick this year which will be a top 5-10 pick. But without that pick we are very limited. Realistically, we know won't be able to compete as by the time we have the players and assets Melo will be on the decline. This team is 2-3 years away from competing and unless we strike gold I'm not sure how we can get much better.
Phil isn't mortgaging the future for instant success. That was evident by the moves we made last offseason. I guess the best we can do is try and get Conley and Gasol from Memphis but we don't have the trade pieces to do so.
Bottom line is Melo is going to have to take another bad season. Next year is a wash.

Bro they're just titties. Everyone has seen a pair of tits. I honestly have no idea why she or he should be ashamed of that? They're a nice pair to be honest.

There have been rumors of Dwight and possibly Rondo giving the Knicks a look this summer, so there's that...I guess.
Signing those two would at least get them into the playoffs, but they still wouldn't be a real threat.

They are great titties to us yes, but this dude wanted to get into a fight with KG on court because he made some trivial remark about LALA.

The only thing they need to do is get Melo to waive his damn no-trade clause on his contract.
He wants out? Let him out... NYK should seriously make a three or 4 team trade and get nothing back except for picks. Any team destined to take on Melo is not expected to be winning for long so taking their Draft picks makes sense.

They made solid moves last summer and i expect them to do it again this summer. A solid young coach with his own approach to the game would be my dream but i think as long as Phil is here he will continue to force the Triangle on the team. In terms of players i'd like to see 2 athletic SG/SF, maybe Bazemore or Batum preferably both, a starting point Clarkson maybe and someone to backup the PF position. This should be enough for playoff contention next season.

This dude is the most over-rated "superstar" I've seen in a while. Can't lead his team to anything and always whines.
CP3 gets so much S*** for not being successful in the playoffs, yet this dude can't get his team to a playoff appearance and gets a pass lol...

Cp3 has reddick, blake, and deandre plus a solid coach. Melo has a rookie and jose calderon

They have a good frontcourt, need serious help in the backcourt and bench players. Point guards play the Knicks and think about having career nights.

Carmelo is such a joke and shouldn't ever be mentioned with the awesome 2003 draft class.

Carmelo Anthony on the Knicks' coaching situation: "I think you consider Kurt (Rambis for the full-time) job.... I think it's just more of seeing how Kurt handle the situation right now, how the team does, how the team responds to Kurt. But I think you still have to at least to listen other candidates out there."
Wow...Nothing really surprises me anymore with Carmelo...
When he talks about upgrading the PG position or listening to other coaches DURING the season, how is his current team suppose to react? No loyalty from this man especially what NY has given up to get him. Calderon should be hovering over Carmelo every second and spit in his Gatorade the minute he has a chance...

Everyone knows they need to upgrade their backcourt, if you're not blind you can see that it's the reason they lose games. Coaching is a big problem for them as well and Rambis is just an interim coach.

I'm with this. Too bad it seems like every year we get the same garbage, doesn't it?
- along with the 6 Melo haters and 5 multi-alt Knick trolls.
This off-season is gonna be very important to NY. We'll see who wants to play alongside our Latvian sensation.

That is very true but this type of response to drama hungry press is not going to help the Knicks situation.
Leave it to the upper management to respond to these types of questions on the direction of the team. They are there to play ball and not to play GM... unless you are LeBron.

Why would you want good players if you trade Melo? If you trade Melo knicks should get bad players tank and re-build for 5 years through the draft. Adopt the sixers model.
