Probably one of the most fun performances to watch of all time. Just the full repertoire on display. Jordan at the peak of his powers. Also includdes possibly the best end to end sequence ever at 2:27 - just amazing.
Another little known fact about this game: Jordan only had 2 points after the first quarter, and Steve Smith and Brian Shaw started to heckle him, saying how they've got his number tonight and he's getting shut down. He proceeded to score 54 points over the final 3 quarters to finish with 56.

This was before the Heat were a great defensive team...
Obviously still a great game!

And not a single 3 pointer taken, in fact the entire team only took 5 for the whole game. Talk about the differences between eras....

I was at that game! It was the game that started my Heat fandom. That was the Heat's first ever playoff appearance. I went to a lot of games in the early 90's because my dad would get tickets through his job. I was too young to remember much from those games, but THAT one I remember vividly. Up to that point I was a huge Jordan fan and a bandwagon Bulls fan (as were most kids my age), but that game is when I became a true Heat fan and a Jordan hater.
I had a Jordan poster on my wall and I remember getting home from the game and ripping it down. I was crushed after that loss. I knew the Heat weren't going to win the series but I wanted so badly for them to win 1 game. I despised Jordan (and the Bulls) throughout the rest of the 90's.

I remember watching this game and how the Bulls, especially MJ, toyed with Miami in their first ever playoff home game.
The next series was a whole 'nother ballgame, though. I can laugh at it now, but the Knicks caught the Bulls letting their guard down. The Bulls, IIRC, had swept NY all six regular season games that year, and had swept them out of the First Round the previous season. Going into the next series with the Knicks, the Bulls were over-confident and cocky.
The Knicks threw ice water on that shit real quick. :oldlol:

You mean like how the average record of teams that Kobe scored 50+ against in 2006 (when he had over half his career games of 50+ points) was a staggering 38-44? Like that? :oldlol: Guess we'll discount all those too.
