Leonard, Aldridge, Green, Martin, Miller, Diaw, Mills, West, Simmons, Boban, Bonner, Anderson.
They can rest Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker and practically not miss a beat. :wtf:
The '86 Celtics (30 years ago) had more HOF's at the top of their roster but even they weren't anywhere near this deep top to bottom.

Honestly it's just a bunch of role players (aside from Kawhi) well coached together by Pop.
Cleveland : Prime Love, Kyrie, Lebron, TT, :facepalm
Miami : Prime Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Jesus Shuttleworth :facepalm

Whatever we call someone who's more than a role player but less than a star. That's Lamarcus. A really solid player

If they rest Parker, Duncan and Ginobili in the Playoffs they'd lose their first series in 5 games, so it's hardly 'skipping a beat without them'.
Playoff basketball decides the best teams. There's a reason the 01 Lakers are mentioned among the best teams ever, and it's not because of what they did in the Regular Season.

True, but they did get their momentum from the regular season. People forget they had an 8 game win streak going into those playoffs. Essentially, a 19 game win streak and winning their final 23 of 24 games.

I gotta agree it's definitely a deep team.
All the years of planning, managing, scouting, and winning have definitely payed off.
The fact that Duncan is still playing well is miraculous given his mileage but it's been a smooth transition more or less and he's got a team of health professionals around him which probably helps.
Trading the late draft pick, some player from an unknown school (George Hill) for Kawhi Leonard, who was projected to go higher in his draft, has payed off massively imo. Without Kawhi, and Pop still being coach, I don't think Aldridge would've been as attracted... but idk...
it's def a deep team:
Kawhi + Aldridge = scoring, athleticism, and defense
Duncan + Parker + Manu = experience and clutchness among other stuff
David West + Boris Diaw = veteran big men who can defend and hit jumpers (and 3's in Diaw's case)
Green + Mills = clutch shooters who can defend, get steals, take charges, etc
A. Miller + K.Martin = veteran guards (tho both have barely played)
Boban + Bonner = traditional 7'foot center type and stretch 4 options off the bench
Seems very well rounded, only thing that worries me is if Kawhi and Aldridge both have off-nights or series where they're outmatched in one way or another. kawhi, despite becoming an awesome AS already, still has a ways to go imo in terms of being a franchise player. Aldridge is great but not without his imperfections either

Martin could have been claimed off waivers if he was even remotely adequate.
If you polled ISH they would believe Miller retired 3+ years ago.
Diaw avg 7.4ppg on .461 TS% in his prime for the worst team in basketball history.
Simmons is a 28 year old rookie who any team in the league could have had for the league min just 1 year ago.
Bonner? They are stacked because of red rocket? For serious? He couldn't even get free shoes. An NBA player couldn't even get free shoes.
Its a great system with a team of really good, flexible players. It is NOT stacked.

Current Cavs are for more stacked, so were Wade's Heat when he had Bosh, Allen, Lebron, and the refs

You have a point.
The key is fresh bodies off the bench in the playoffs.
I think this year you will see Pop go deep into the bench to throw mismatches and fresh legs at the typical starting lineups.
** I can't wait to see Kerr at the end of the series with a dejected look on his face when Pop's kids whip his a$$

they are a pretty stacked team in terms of understanding their role and flourishing under Pops system. Most of the bench players are very efficient on the floor and the mins that are given to them. They are the one true challenge to the GSW this year.
When Pop said no team has figured out how to beat them.... he is play chess with Kerr.

They'll still lose to the Warriors

This years club may not even be as stacked as some past Spurs teams .. Having said that, playoff basketball is not regular season basketball and a deep bench will be an advantage ... with the big three aging and unpredictable, the bench will be a huge factor for los Spurs this year ..
