View Full Version : Just put $117 on the Heat to win the East

Heat are (+1200) to win the East. $117 bet pays out a little over $1400. Miami has one of the best D's in the league and their offense is coming a long nicely since the all-star break with the addition of Joe Johnson.

Not sold on Cleveland. There is obviously tension there and the Cavs fate basically lies on Kyries tender knee.

What should I do with my winnings?

You lit $117 on fire? That's dumb.

Would lose to Charlotte in 1st round if they face each other.

Win the East as in make it to the NBA Finals. You are not the conference champion by finishing as the one seed at the end of the regular season.

All they have to do is make it to the Finals where they will then lose to the Warriors.

Yeah, don't listen to some unemployed, uneducated f*ggot like Simon.

Kid didn't even get his highschool diploma.

The only $117 he's ever seen is in his mom's purse.

You made an exceptional bet OP.

The addition of Joe Johnson, the sliding of Deng to the 4 spot, and the emergence of Josh Richsrson has changed the complexion of the Heat. They are a major threat.

It's a bold prediction but it's ok if you don't mind losing the money. The risk is worthy it. I don't think anyone beats Cavs in the East but if anyone can do it, it's the Heat. Raptors are pretenders. Hornets don't inspire me confidence. Celtics have no go to guy.

It's a good bet if Bosh is good to go, they are the only team in East that could beat Cavs.

Raptors are the only team that can challenge the Cavs and that's if Carroll comes back and plays well.

The Heat are 10-4 since the break. They have played very well since switching to small-ball and bringing Whiteside off the bench. That along with acquisition of JJ and the emergence of Richardson has really changed the dynamic of the team. If Bosh were to return and start at the 5, the Heat would be a very dangerous team. Their main weakness right now is defending the high screens and PnR's, and Bosh would help immensely in that area. He would also draw out opposing bigs as a stretch 5, creating more space for Wade and Dragic.

Even if Bosh doesn't return, the Heat probably have as good a chance as any team in the east to beat the Cavs. They have a nice mix of veterans and youth and they have two deadly closers in Wade and JJ. I'm not saying they would win, but it's a decent bet given the possible payout.

What is the deal with Bosh? Is he coming back? I assumed he was out for the year.

The Heat have played the Warriors really tough two times this season. I was really impressed with Whiteside in their last meeting, he gave it to Draymond. He's a threat on both sides of the ball.

The Heat's offense has been on fire lately too. They don't shoot the three well but they can really get up and down when they want to. They are getting their sht together at the right time of the year.

LeBron is a sleeper agent for the Heat. He will intentionally play terribly, and then defect to the Heat!

I wish :(

Seriously though, I think the Heat will do solid in the playoffs. Regardless Warriors are winning it all anyways

Bad investment.

Sounds like you don't know much about investments. But neither do I, so lets walk through this together..

Lets look at it as a three month investment. I'm investing $117 dollars total, that is $39 a month. That's a couple of beers, an appetizer and an entree. Cool, I won't eat out today.

If I lose, I only lose that $117. Ho humm.

If I win, I win $1,404.

That is a 1,100% profit from my original investment.

There are only eight teams in the EC playoffs. The Heat will only need to beat three teams. 12 wins total.

According to Trendshare.com (https://trendshare.org/how-to-invest/what-is-a-good-annual-rate-of-return), a good return on investment is 15% ANNUALLY (meaning after a year).

I'm looking at a 1,100% return on my investment.

I like it. I like it a lot.

Why do people keep saying this? Isaiah Thomas is averaging 21.9 PPG on 56.0 TS%, and in only 32.5 MPG. Per 36, he scores 24.3 Pts.

I'm a true and true Raps fan but I don't see us giving the Cavs a run in the playoffs. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if we got canned again in the first round. Sure hope not though...

GOOD BET IMO... Kyrie doesn't look like his old self and the team is just not clicking.. Meanwhile Miami is just as talented and playing better
