"Because let's face it -- Leonard's obviously super-frugal. The only time anyone's seen him sweat is when he lost the complimentary coupons that food franchise WingStop gave him for being a sponsor."

I agree with Shaq that he is the ultimate player that you look up if you want to be a superstar. Not Curry, Lebron, or Kobe, but him. He has the hard work ethic and winning mentality of all the greats but has 0 drama and is all about the game. I think he might low key be the athlete to ever look up due to his skills, work ethic, impressive improvement and personality.

Though I imagine most college players will look up to someone like Harden instead. :facepalm

Dude has $94 million dollars from his basketball contract alone.

That amount of money is hard to imagine. Dear lawd. I don't understand how some of these players go broke. Leonard seems to be going about it the right way. Coupons are there for everyone.

gov takes over half. then agent takes what 10%. then you spend money on huge houses, cars, jewelry for your self and everyone around you. you think its a lot then you do all this stupid things even when you stop making millions. what do you expect.

Seems like many of these athletes are supporting way more people than they should be. Remember all the shit that came out around Odom when he was in the hospital?

It's okay to have nice things and he earned it. He should buy a nicer car. It doesn't have to be a Ferrari but a Tesla Model S would be great. An luxury electric car with great range.

like someone said, gov and agent takes a good %, big houses and sports cars are a must for most athletes. Sponsorships and business ventures are the best things for pro athletes in the long run.

I really like him. He is the opposite of that immaturity that most people, at least young people have of wanting show off, car, clothes, shoes, etc. Imagine not having a pot to piss in and buying expensive sneakers to show off to the public. As if the public are going to idolize a person for it, rather than attract people who would stab you for it.

Pretty sure Harden chocked so hard in what would be his only final appearance in his life as a third banana.

Kawhi is the opposite of James Haren. Party Animal that is all about money, branding, spotlight, stats and banging stripper of the highest order. Fk hardwork, team and winning. Getting paid yo. Harden fans stay salty. There is nothing but down hill from here on.

Makes you laugh at Kia for donating just one measly stinking Kia car to charity after the All-Star game.

ONE... single... KIA car... from a multi-billion dollar company. :lol

Pacers drafted Kawhi

Then traded him for George Hill

Yes, contingent on Kawhi being available at 15. Had someone drafted him before that the deal would have been killed. Pacers needed a PG, not a project wing who played inside at SD St.

Hey, don't underestimate that valuable "97 Tahoe" Endorsement deal. Those things are now flying off the lots because of Leonard's sponsorship of them LOL

Glad to hear that at least one NBA player wont be going bankrupt in the future.

Do they still make Tahoes? If so, it would be smart of Chevy to get an endorsement deal that includes a brand new one every year.

like Jamal Mashburn who I heard invested well. Its good that players like Kawhi are opposite from the NBA norm, must be due to the way he was raised and what happened with his dad.

Kwahi is my fav player besides Curry but

He choked those 2 free throws in game six finals so that Ray Allen could hit a 3. If he had made the damn free throws he could potentially have 2 FMVPS by now.
