Doesn't tonight's result practically guarantee that nobody passes the threshold

538 says that he is still has a chance, even though he's been slipping a little bit.

No.

Trump is having a quite good night. He got 40% of the vote in Illinois, but could wind up with 87% of the delegates.

The biggest win he could have tonight is if Kasich stays in the race. That means he can still win in winner take all states with 40% of the vote.

The best chance for contested convention is if it just Cruz vs Trum from here on out.

Nope. If Trump doesn't land the magic number, the republicans have the rights to choose another candidate at the convention

Trump did well not sure why he would be popular in Florida. Rubio dropping out should help Cruz out. I did the math Trump is unlikely to get the 1237 delegates if the GOP hates his guts like we're hearing.

Trump did well not sure why he would be popular in Florida. Trump lives in West Palm Beach half the year.

Also have you ever been to rural Florida? He won Alabama by 22 points.

Which republicans?
the delegates themselves.

Trump's a little behind where he needs to be according to this

Hm.

[quote]If Sanders looks to win the nomination with superdelegates despite being behind in pledged delegates, that will put him crosswise with some of his grassroots supporters.

MoveOn.org, for example, has endorsed Sanders, but has also already collected close to 200,000 signatures on a petition to get rid of superdelegates.

Hm.

Trump supporters need to get on this petition as well.

Delegates is bullshit.
You're misunderstanding that.

You're misunderstanding that.

How?

Superdelegates have an unfair, undemocratic influence on the election results.

This could effect both Trump and Bernie.

I realize MoveOn's petition was to the Democratic Superdelegates only.

But Republicans should be doing the exact same thing. Everyone should be outraged about this, regardless of candidate support. It's a complete scam.

He won 42 delegates in Missouri, so that softens that Ohio blow a bit.

he's going to come very close to it if he doesn't get there .. he is the obvious front runner and he's dominating .. he'll easily have the most votes and most won states .. he's also brought in record voter turnouts .. how stupid would the gop look if they pick the 2nd place guy or anyone else .. if they deny him after all that, hell will break loose and the gop will basically have committed suicide

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/20121112_In_59_Philadelphia_voting_wards__Mitt_Rom ney_got_zero_votes.html

It's one thing for a Democratic presidential candidate to dominate a Democratic city like Philadelphia, but check out this head-spinning figure: In 59 voting divisions in the city, Mitt Romney received not one vote. Zero. Zilch.

Ironic.
