I do.

Gasol has been the better player the last 3 years.

And 2 peat Gasol was better than 2 peat Wade, since this is what this thread is really about.

19/11/3 and 2bpg in the combined post seasons runs from Gasol.
19/5/4 from Wade. Not to mention Wade was absolute trash in 2013 despite what people want to say. Showing up for 2 games in the finals isn't what being a second option is all about.
Gasol was good to great in every game in both finals he played in. Dude was the definition of consistent.

Who you got 2010 Gasol vs 2012 Wade?

2012 Wade over 2010 Pau

But 2010 Pau over 2013 and 2014 Wade

It's really close realistically can go either way

I think Gasol gets underrated

Extremely efficient offensive player, strong rebounder, and very underrated defensively

Pau with a casual 20/10/4 with 2 blocks on 54% FG in 2010 playoffs

Career: Wade
Peak: Wade
Current: Very close but edge to Gasol

Wade (healthy) from 2005 through the 2013 regular season is better than Gasol. 2-peat Gasol was better than Wade since the 2013 injury. Both are underrated.

Before anyone says either sucks, both have fantastic careers and are aging incredibly well. How good is Gasol defensively though in his career? The man was (and to some extent still is) a walking double double. Wade though is more of a game-changer than Gasol. Correct me if I'm wrong but Gasol hasn't ever really been a go-to guy in the clutch unless forced into the situation; Wade is a guy who demands the ball in the clutch (up until 2013 with LeBron, still was Mr. Clutch for the Heat in 2012).
Currently though, I'd probably say Gasol. I always read up on NBA.com's old-timers power rankings and am always consistently impressed with how well e is performing.

This.

Wade is higher than Gasol all time, but that isnt the Wade that Lebron played with.

Lakers Gasol was easily better than 2010--> Wade. Not even close really.

That is a load of garbage.

Wade was still a legit superstar from 2010-2012 and a top 10 player in the 2013 regular season. In 2011 Wade averaged 26/6/5/2/1 for the season and 25/7/5/2/1 in the playoffs. He was neck and neck with Lebron that season and clearly better than Gasol ever was. In 2012 Wade had the 3rd best PER in the league (26.3) and he averaged 23/6/5/2/1 in the finals. He was also great in 2013 up until the bone bruise injury, averaging 21/5/5/2/1 on 52% and a 24 PER for the season.

Inflated stats due to LeGOATteammate's presence. Wade registered very mediocre on the eye test.

I agree that 2-peat Gasol was better than 2013 playoffs Wade, but c'mon, Wade was clearly injured and you make it sound like he was out there not trying or something. He played through an injury that can sideline a player for a month and he only missed one game. Not surprisingly, his resurgent play in the finals coincided with the timetable for a bone bruise to heal. I'm not sure what "despite what people want to say" even means. I don't think anyone disputes that he struggled for the majority of the playoffs.

That being said, lack of production is lack of production, injury or not. Gasol was much better and more consistent for sure. I still take 2012 Wade over 2-peat Gasol. For some reason Wade is extremely underrated that season. He was still a dynamic force on both ends.

HA! Wade's game is more pleasing to the eye than almost any player who ever lived. And the only stat that was inflated was his fg%, everything else would have been higher had he been working solo, as is the case when he was working solo before LeBron came to town

Wait. You have current Gasol over current Wade?
