Lebron is overrated at this point. Still a good player but detrimental to getting the most out of the team, look at how Love is dominating tonight. Lebron doesn't get the most out of him at all.

This proves what I saw the first few games last season under Blatt. This team, with these players, are the best when Lebron is a role player leader. This team would flourish with a Lebron adding something like 18-6-6 on high efficiency.

I wouldn't draw too much from one game. We've also looked pretty awful a couple times when he has sat out. Granted, he almost always sits out back-to-backs when the whole team is gassed (or 6 games in 9 nights like this one). But, I do think the Cavs will be better when LBJ starts playing the 4 almost exclusively and Love either plays the center or they play in different rotations.

They occupy a lot of the same areas of the court.

And, the realization that Kyrie is the Cavs' best scorer and one of the best isolation players in the league will also help him take on more of a facilitator role... which I think he can thrive in while playing PF, as opposed to pounding the ball on the wing.

The point is, Love is an offense in himself.

You can build around Love in the low post. It's not just the scoring, that's a result, but it's the high IQ and passing. He is a willing passer and a talented passer and a high efficiency low post scorer. The fact he can hit 3s only work to keep defenders honest, but Lebron uses Love's 3rd and worst offensive skill as his main use, that's not going to work.

Playing with Lebron, Love does not utilize his two best skills, you have to see this yeah?

Fact is, Lebron really does not get the most out of Love. Problem is, Lebron does not have shooting or off ball IQ to play off ball. Dump the ball to Love, go on a cut, but Lebron does not want to do that and he can't do that, because he can't shoot.

Lebron simply is a limited player, a very talented limited player, but his role is limited, he simply can't play off ball.

A little of both... but, the officials are going to swallow their whistles in that situation every time, so it was really just smart basketball.

I thought we were done when they pulled within two with a few minutes to go. It really looked like we had nothing left and we couldn't solve their defensive scheming.

That defense flat-out would not work with LBJ on the floor, btw, so it doesn't do other teams much good down the road. He'd get to the middle of the court and set guys up right where they want it.

I'll take the win without complaint.

Kyrie is pretty close to overtaking LBJ when it comes to pure scoring. LeBron is obviously still the superior player. But, if the Cavs are ever going to isolate and let a guy work one-on-one, I'd prefer it to be Kyrie over LeBron at this point.

I just wish he had the instincts to know when to let go of the ball. His amazing ability to dribble out of trouble is both a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing because he will somehow get through a maze of defenders and come out the otherside with an easy layup. It's a curse because he thinks he can dribble himself out of any problem and it sometimes stalls the offense.

He hadn't been doing much of that lately, but without LBJ out there, he resorted back to some bad habits.... maybe out of necessity (I don't think we would have won without him scoring in the last six minutes when no one else could make a basket).

He's still just 23 though... the youngest player on the team, amazingly. His growth has been fast-tracked because of LBJ coming back and the acquisition of Love, JR, Shump, etc. But, truthfully, he probably won't be hitting his prime for another few years.
