The Spurs will for sure give them 2 losses IMO (I still think the Spurs can beat them) and depending on if they face the Thunder or Clippers that's likely 1 loss right there.

Nobody in this league can match up with them talent wise, depth wise, confidence wise and chemistry wise given they've had 3 or 4 years to gel together. Yes, they very well can sweep the post season. This year's NBA, particularly the underwhelming Western Conference has been booty.

Shouldnt it be 16-1? Unless one the rounds was best of 5

There is a chance sure but I think they'll drop at least one game to San Antonio. San Antonio might beat them in a series.

First round was a best of 5 until 2003.
Of course you would know this if you didn't just start watching basketball 2 years ago. :lol

I think they have a very real shot of going unbeaten. They're dominating the league and they've been doing it while blatantly coasting on defense...they have the best offense ever and I see no reason to think they can't go back to playing the type of super-elite defense they displayed in 2015 once the playoffs start.

You thought Cleveland was gonna be Golden State when "they had all their pieces". That's waaaay more than ban worthy.

Just for the record, the '01 Lakers lone post-season loss was in OT.
So, they were one shot away from going 15-0.
As for OP...of course they can do it. Really, only the Spurs and possibly the Cavs will likely win a playoff game against them.

Golden State should be able to sweep the first two rounds barring an injury on their part. If the meet up with the Spurs or Thunder that series should go up to six games at the most. They should be able to sweep whoever comes out the East.
16-2 ain't bad, especially with the competition they'd be facing being better than what the 2000 Lakers faced. The WCF will be one hell of a series whether they face OKC or San Antonio.

Those Lakers swept the 55-27 Kings and 58-24 Spurs. And they were an OT loss away from sweeping the 56-26 Sixers.
And, very few of those 13 games were even close.

83 Sixers 12-1 more impressive
Bernard Kings Knicks
Johnson and Moncriefs Bucks
Kareem and Magic Lakers

I doubt they only lose 1, but it should still be mostly easy minus the series with the Spurs. They sweep at least 2 series. They get 1 random loss. They lose to the Spurs 1-2 times.

We thought that these guys had a chip on their shoulder in the regular season....
Curry might play the 4th quarter in the playoffs every game to thrash niggus by 40 points :lol

The Clippers are geared to win 52 games without Blake Griffin, him coming back makes them immensely better as a playoff team. That's their likely second round matchup.
Then in the WCF the Warriors will either face a 55 win team or a 69 win team. A team with two MVP candidates or the best incarnation of the legendary Spurs franchise.
Then in the NBA Finals the Dubs will likely face the Cavaliers who are on the road to 58 wins.
The Warriors can blow out their first, second, and fourth round matchup. I'm not sure about if they were to face OKC or San Antonio.

In theory. But they have been clicking without Blake and Blake could disrupt the flow of the guys who are used to getting the ball. Despite clearly having more talent with Blake back, talent does not guarantee success.

I agree but if Blake utiized his abilities and plays more consistent defense, Clippers get tougher to beat.
We're talking about a guy who can give you 25 9 and 5 with game breaking ability. His absence has helped Reddick and reserves find their spots to consistently score.

I have to say.
Their lack of rebounding will cost some games.

While I think it could happen, the Warriors are also susceptible to a poor shooting night and a loss. I'd have to imagine OKC/SA would get at least one win on their home floor.

I'm more interested in seeing if the Warriors can go undefeated at home throughout the whole year and playoffs, which the Spurs can theoretically do as well.

Don't see this happening to be honest
they are gonna face either Dallas, Houston or Portland 1st round, all teams have the ability to at least win 1 game at home, if OKC falls to 4th place they are facing them in the 2nd round and that means they face Spurs in the WCF and Cavs in the Finals
01 Lakers faced great teams as well but Kobe and Shaq both were playing on Curry's level at the same time...GS more depth but all it takes is a few off nights shooting from Curry and they drop a few games like they did last year.. Shaq was unguardable and Kobe was making every clutch shot except for the one game he went cold that they lost to Philly in OT..this GS team just recently lost to the Lakers out of all teams in a blowout.

No, not a chance. They'll go cold from 3 at least 1 time and another team will get hot, just like what happened against the Lakers a couple weeks ago.
