I think the coaching staff wants him to be aggressive everytime he has the ball. That's the only reason i can think of to justify his lack of passing.

It wouldn't hurt putting your scoring ability to test on a season game, it's a mental thing (especially when you have Lebron on your team). It's becoming a matter of how far can you really go w/out the captain of the team micromanaging every aspect of the game, something tells me Kyrie misses that. Maybe it was situational or was put in a position where making an extra pass and/or passing wasn't a viable option freelancing or running a play.

I agree that it's good to get shots up to have a rhythm scoring wise. I believe you can't just chuck all quarters. I didn't see him look to set anybody up. he treated it as a street ball one on one exhibition. The issue I see is...

He refuses to move off the ball and get easier shots.

Kyrie came so close to losing the game for the cavs yesterday. He wasted possession after possession in the 4th. Sure he hit a timely bucket here and there and got that game winning steal, but his play was very detrimental to the team as a whole. He is the reason the cavs lost that 4th Q lead.
