This conversation isn't about who you do or don't support. It's about what kind of smear tactics you're willing to support and if your stance on these tactics changes depending on who they're being used against.

This is a problem with American politics in general (both sides). Reagan supported gun control and got cheers. Bush supported gun control and got cheers. Obama supported gun control and got comparisons to Hitler.
