I get on Spo a lot but he's actually done a solid job this year. I still think Bosh's absence forced his hand to some degree, but he does deserve credit. He's also (to my understanding) been a big factor in Whiteside's development and Richardson's emergence. This is the first season where the Heat's success can largely be attributed to Spo. Not all of it, but more of it than in the past.

Before Lebron he had prime/peak Wade, so that probably has more to do with his success and the team overachieving than his actual coaching ability. Last season was an injury riddled mess so he gets a bit of a pass there. The next few seasons will be interesting. With Bosh's future uncertain and Wade aging, we should get a more clear picture of how good Spo is.
