yea yeah another curry thread but whatever, its worth discussing. Obviously his shooting can't really get any better, hes maxed that ability out. Its his awareness on the court and his ability to worm his way through the defense that seems to be getting even better. He is looking more and more comfortable with contact and is really learning how to use his body and ball handling ability to create space from nothing. Bar injury I just can't see anyone threatening this dudes status as the MVP for a long time.

his release doesnt even look that high and he isng leaning back/falling away like kobe or dirk when shooting. so you could think that defenders with long arms could have a shot to defend him well. but then you have to consider his dribbling and movement skills = game over.
and of course he has a solid and especially quick step back

im looking forward to the wcf gsw vs spurs and kawhi vs curry.

warriors will win todays game tough

I could definitely see him finishing his career with an all time ranking somewhere between 3 and 12

lets see the next 3-4 years. THen he will be 31. If he can hold his skillevel over those years...no doubt. But Lebron has a say in that matter. If lebron is able to win it this year....and FMVP. This is gonna be hard on Currys legacy tbh. GSW are 10x better build than the cavs

Agreed. That finals performance last year left some ammo for the doubters. We'll see what happens this year.

You are correct. His release is unusual as he doesn't wait until he's at his peak to shoot. He doesn't bring the ball back and then out. Otherwise known as a one motion shot. Which makes it ridiculously fast. Which is harder to defender.

I don't know anyone with a faster release...because to be faster than the one motion release, you'd have to literally swat the ball like you are playing volleyball or something.

Like his 1 for 10 shooting from 3 vs lamers. If he doesnt make illegal screened threes he is useless

He hasn't had any ref help yet either. If that happens, it's over for the rest of the league

Why do people talk about Bron winning another title, like he actually has a shot?

We all know thats over.

Cheers

I'm not sure his shooting has even maxed out. Last night he shot a bank 3 from the baseline. It not some fluke bank. He purposely shot it high off the backboard. We're going to be seeing all types of crazy threes from him in the future.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him have a 50/50/90 season

If he hasn't peaked, he's pretty close. He isn't that young anymore, he's 28, only 3 years younger than LeBron to put that into perspective.

Even if he hasn't "peaked", the wear and tear of long seasons and deep playoff runs consisting of ~90+ games combined with teams figuring out how to play him over the next couple of seasons may give him no more than ~3 additional "MVP caliber" seasons.

His game will age well though, most jump-shooters do and he's not explosive, he's quick, but not super-athletic.

Jordan won titles when he was 34, 35, and 36. 34 year old Kobe was comparable to 36 year old Jordan. He was arguably the 3rd best player in the NBA after Bran and Durant but MDA abused his minutes and Kobe tore his achilles. Kerr will never do something like that. Curry will continue to average 33-34 MPG and will sit out plenty of 4th quarters.

If Durant joins the dubs KD and Curry can extend each others careers. You can intentionally give Curry and Durant 10-12 games off per season. You don't have to play both of them on back to backs. Use Curry one night and Durant the following night. Against garbage teams both of them won't need to play either. Just alternate.
