If we are talking about "worst" in real life in terms of say intelligence, writing, education level, income, IQ, and general status in life, then Kobe fans are empirically the worst.

The current, best, most charismatic players are always going to have the dumbest fans. At least out in the real world. They are going to attract the more superficial one, who don't follow the game as close as people do here on a daily basis. Their attraction will be based more on the hype than the substance. At least for older players, they are going to have fans that in general have been following the game longer, and are less casual.
