Le3 literally split a pair of finals with the Spurs by himself and took the Warriors to 6 games with a d-league cast in the last 3 years. The East is even stronger now.

Irving isn't the 2nd best player in the east. Love is a good player but he's not a great fit imo. The Cavs also don't have very good depth. They're still the best team in the east but they are certainly vulnerable.

I actually think the Raptors are going to be tough in the playoffs. The Heat seem to be coming together at the tight time. Even if Bosh doesn't return, they may be poised for a deep playoff run. I could see either of those teams challenging Cleveland.

He didn't beat the Spurs by himself in 2013. To name a few of the other contributions, Wade averaged 20/5/4/2/1 on 48%, Bosh's PnR defense was elite, Allen hit "the shot", and Battier shot 6/8 from 3 in game seven. Lebron was great but it took important contributions from several players to win that series.

For those that watch the Raptors, there are various encouraging signs that the soft/weak and incomplete team issues they've always faced are finally changing though. Few in US are actually watching raps games regularly so haven't noticed this.

The East has been more competitive in years past but I still believe the WCF is the NBA Finals again this year. Spurs/Warriors would be the dream match-up.

In the East, its still the Cavs. Celtics have peaked and injuries are hitting them at the worst possible time now. Best I think we can hope for is a home series that we can win before a 2nd round bounce unless the match-ups are exceptionally favorable.
